We are empowering young adults in the Philippines to take control of their lives.
What Is This Project?
This project aims to empower young adults who are studying at Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres ((BYSMPI) in Bustos Bulacan, in rural Philippines, to take control of their future. Our main goal is to create a social enterprise that sells bags made from recycled clothing. We are partnering with BYSMPI, to help their students move towards a more positive, and sustainable future by giving them internship opportunities within our business. Through this, we hope to give them valuable experiences and insights in the management sector.
Who Are We?
We are a group of young aspiring students, currently studying at The Harbour School, who are in the Global Project Development class. In this class, we are developing creative solutions to growing, real-world problems. In the past years, we have made a school in Kenya, a fair trade coffee company helping farmers in Peru, and a curriculum to help educate students in Cambodia.
