Our Story  

 Queeng Playing​ Cards  a family project that my father and I started on a family vacation 3 years ago. 

It all started with an innocent question when we were playing a card game together…

I asked

“Why is the King always worth more than the Queen?”

He didn’t really have a good answer. So he encouraged me to find a solution!

After some brainstorming, we decided to create an updated version of the classic deck of cards. 

Aside from making a wise statement about equality and how far we’ve come, my father realized it would be a GREAT opportunity to teach me about business challenges, product design, and marketing. By working with him, we got the chance to bond on an entirely different level.

I got to discover a whole other side of my dad, while getting some hands-on entrepreneurial experience. Or as my Dad put it, our project got me ‘closer to the real world’—by learning about things like trial and error, time management, and patience.

Since my dad is the CEO of a media company, he has a pretty good sense of what a product launch involves. But he totally encouraged me to take the lead. I had the freedom and authority to call the shots—and make mistakes—on my own.

One decision  I made was that I didn’t want to be front and center of our campaign. I’m pretty camera shy. So we got a great actress to play me and tell our story. 

Because the amazing thing is, we actually turned our idea into a unique product that WORKS!!

Queeng is an updated version of the classic deck of playing cards, but still works with ALL the original principles, so you can play ANY card game with it. 

With its attention to detail and gorgeous, hand-drawn illustrations, each deck as special as the encouraging message it’s bringing the world ❤

We want the deck of cards to bring fun and gaming to as many people as possible, of all ages and walks of life! With your help, we’ll reach our goal and raise $10,000.

The Impact

Not only is this a cool new way to play all your card games, but you’ll also be a part of celebrating real-world change, while supporting a kick-ass example of young entrepreneurship.

Once we reach our goal, you’ll literally have helped adapt a game we’ve known and loved for HUNDREDS of years to our generation. Playing cards will finally be suited for our time, mindset and society!

So, how does it actually work?

We improved the cards, but adapted them to the old rules. Since the hierarchy is set according to the old cards, you can play all the games you want.

Monarch Cards = King Cards

We called it Monarch, as a Monarch can be male or female.

Duchess or Duke Cards = Queen Cards

We called it Duchess or Duke so we could have both a man and a woman.

Prince or Princess Cards = Jack Cards

Jacks are now Princes and Princesses.

Risks & Challenges

• The design of the cards has been finalized.
• Prototypes have been printed and tested, as you see in the video.
• Printing and Shipping have been secured by a reliable company, used successfully in other funding campaigns
• We anticipate production will begin as soon as we’ve been funded.
• We are confident in our ability to deliver a great product, on time. However, unforeseen events can occur in any business. In such a case, we are committed to work day and night in order to resolve any issue, and we will be 100% transparent.
