There is not only Paella. Other places in Spain have rice recipes that surpass the iconic Valencian dish. Discover it !!

Story

I introduce myself. My name is Tomas Fenoll, Nowadays i’m working like a policeman in a small town in the province of Alicante . The town is Aspe with a population of 20K… but you will ask yourself? “What is a policeman doing talking to me about cooking recipes?”…the answer is very simple….Before becoming a police officer I worked as a cook for many years, since I was a child in my family. I’m also a Senior Tourism Technician.

I have traveled throughout the Spanish geography to know first hand the traditional recipes and compile them , but in this first book I want to start with the recipes of my land, .. I am very proud of it!!!

The passion for traditional cuisine has been one of my greatest pleasures. The land where I was born has culinary customs that remain today and are passed down from generation to generation,… every day less because the new generations do not like to cook.

My grandparents, Antonio and Manuela, opened a restaurant in the 60’s, and they sold what they had traditionally learned. It is very gratifying to see people enjoy eating that  you have cooked.

I decided to write this book because there is an international distortion about traditional rice recipes, specifically in the famous “paella”. You can see how there are restaurants that distort “the traditional” and sell it as such….chorizo ​​in a paella? … are we crazy?… that’s an abobination!!!
