At home or on the go, ThermBot delivers instant temperature readings with 100% accuracy.

Story

When we set out to create ThermBot, we didn’t just want it to be the world’s smallest and fastest thermometer. We wanted it to be the smartest too. However, perfection takes time.

ThermBot has been almost six months in the making. We have obsessed over every detail, specifically ensuring that the temperature-reading infrared sensor and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) chip used in the device are of the highest possible quality.

But all those late nights and long-distance planning sessions have paid off. We finally have a real-life ThermBot prototype in hand that, we’re happy to report, has passed a series of stringent proof of concept tests with flying colors.

Long story short, ThermBot has passed the Engineering Validation Test (EVT), Production Validation Test (PVT), as well as the Final Acceptance Test (FAT). Passing the latter test means that ThermBot has been fully approved by the FDA.

The next step is putting ThermBot into factory mass production. Every phase of ThermBot’s manufacture will take place in state-of-the-art FDA-certified facilities specializing in consumer healthcare electronic devices. They are all lined up just waiting for us to “green light” its production.

And this is where you – dear supporter – come in. Powered by your generous funding, we aim to have our first batch of ThermBots in your hands by the end of December 2020.

Innovation doesn’t happen in a vacuum. The conception and development of ThermBot is no exception. Taking our “aha” moment for a thermometer that is smaller, faster, and smarter from rad idea to reality has demanded lots of late-night brainstorming sessions and buckets loads of dedication. But our success was never in doubt. Not when we had an A-team of engineers, product designers, and marketing experts on board.

First up is Eli O, Founder & CEO (it rhymes ?) from Brooklyn, NY. In the Meet-the-Team image below he is nicknamed The Troublemaker; enough said!

Then, is Tobe Xu from Shenzhen, China, our lead engineer and avid fan of epic road trips. Tobe – and his hardware engineer Cary Liu and software engineer Bruce Guo – have spent countless hours perfecting every detail of this device, working to make it as small and safe as technologically possible.

Next up are Sivash Persaud, a graphic design god and metalhead from Bogota, Colombia, and Szabo Bence, a 3D and videography virtuoso and motor racing enthusiast from Budapest, Hungary. Together, they honed the look and size of the ThermBot while also maintaining its optimal functionality.

As for the content, that’s all down to Wendy Borland of Cape Town, South Africa, word magician and not-so-secret advocate for the protection of our planet.

Then it’s over to Amber Masciorini and Lydia Vargo of top PR agency Chic Execs and our social media marketing whiz Tim Wehrle, to get our brand name and concept out there. And let’s not forget the absolutely fabulous Double Jump Media company who produced our kickass Kickstarter video.

Honorable mentions go to videographer Nikita Toropov, eCommerce fundi Jan Hoffman, also to Adam Hierlihy and Nate Slonaker of Amazon Launchpad. And last, but not least, Chandler Copenhaver of CrowdOx.

Now that is what we call a world-class dream team. And thanks to their combined efforts, we get to bring you the ThermBot – Not Your Average Thermometer.

With regard to COVID-19, we made a pact at team ThermBot that we do not bring up the C word. Everyone understands full well the necessity of a good thermometer right now. The more we speak about the virus, the less we are marketing by love, but by fear mongering. C is a global tragedy (which we here in Brooklyn, NY know only too well) and we, you, and 7b+ souls worldwide pray for it to GO AWAY NOW!

We want ThermBot to be that thermometer that lasts you a lifetime; that you think of as your “little friend.” End of story.
