The Nuzzle pillow was created by a team of entrepreneurs with experience in the home goods industry looking for a better way to sleep. Our team tried and tested every pillow style and innovation on the market; however, nothing felt right.
Being the kind of people who don’t settle for less than the best, we decided to make our pillow instead. To achieve this, we partnered with one of the world’s best startup incubators (Accelerator Center) to leverage their experience in product design & development, manufacturing, and supply chain management to bring the most cutting edge textile technology and the latest sleep-based research.
The result was the Nuzzle pillow, and we think you’ll agree that it’s pretty special. We’re thrilled to be bringing Nuzzle to life for you, and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of our journey.
This project’s logistics plan has passed thorough a 7-point review, and Floship certifies that we have an efficient and reliable logistics plan to deliver this good from the factory to you, the customers.
Our earliest prototype was created with memory foam. Similar to our final design, the two outer halves would zip open then there were two foam layers in between. However, after initial testing with beta users, we quickly realized that memory foam was not the answer!
The image above shows some of the outer layers we have sampled over the past 2 years. Everything from feather/down blends, shredded foam, alternative down, feather, and different microfibers, etc. Furthermore, we have tested various shell materials too: Polyester, cotton, poly/cotton blends, rayon from bamboo, cotton/phase change material, cotton with silver infusion, etc.
The image above shows some of our layer samples. We have developed variations with shredded foam, feather, down, down alternative, and different microfibers. One of the most timely objectives in the development phase was finding the optimal fill weight to accommodate various sleep positions and comfort levels. Some of our fill weight samples are shown in the bottom image. We tested approximately 50 different fill weight combinations!
