Come in brave ones, Im going to tell you a short story: 7 demons have escaped from a prison, their evil (but francly cool) faces are free to show themselves on the world one more time and its up to you to catch them once again. We are counting on you.

Entren valientes, les contaré una muy breve historia: 7 demonios han escapado de una prisión, sus malvados (pero francamente geniales) rostros están libres para mostrarse ante el mundo una vez más y depende de tí atraparlos de nuevo. Contamos contigo.

For a long time we had a very strong fixation on Japanese culture, and we wanted to focus on something very typical of the region, the traditional masks of Japanese theater (Noh Theater). On the other hand, we are fans of the cultural styles that are appreciated in anime, movies and literary works, and we wanted to merge the two of them together.

   So what we did is practically this:
   Traditional Japanese Theater Masks + Retrowave Styles from Pop Culture =
   Pins, Stickers and guitar picks.

   It is not the most orthodox idea, but it is incredibly amazing. We were waiting for things to happen, for something to change and our lives to take an exciting turn, doing nothing. This is our attempt to change that.

Desde hace mucho tiempo tenemos una fijación muy fuerte por la cultura japonesa y quisimos centrarnos en algo muy típico de la región, las máscaras tradicionales del teatro japonés (Teatro Noh). Por otro lado, somos fans de los estilos culturales que se aprecian en el anime, las películas y las obras literarias, juntando ambas obtenemos justo eso. 

Así que lo que hicimos es prácticamente esto:

No es  la idea más ortodoxa, pero es increíblemente asombrosa. Nosotros estábamos esperando a que las cosas sucedieran, a que algo cambiara y nuestras vidas dieran un giro emocionante, sin hacer nada. Éste es nuestro intento por cambiar eso. 

The designs have clear attributes that differentiate them from each other. The stickers and picks have Japanese lettering indicating their name. Besides, of course, the picks have their name in Arabic, a neon grid and a small detail of the name of our studio.

   The specifications of the stickers are:
   – 8 cm²
   – Silhouetted cut
   – Laminated vinyl
   – Sun, water and scratch resistant

   The specifications of the guitar picks are:
   – Full-color printing
   – Vintage cellulose
   – 0.96 mm
   – Printed on both sides

   Finally, the pins, their specifications are:
   – 45 mm
   – Metal enamel pins
   – 2D reliefs

Los diseños tienen claros atributos que los diferencian entre sí. Los stickers y las plumillas tienen lettering en japonés indicando su nombre. Además que por supuesto, las plumillas poseen su nombre en arábigo, una rejilla de neón y un pequeño detalle del nombre de nuestro estudio. 

Las especificaciones de los stickers son:

– 8 cm²

– Corte siluetado

– Vinil laminado

– Resistentes al sol, al agua y a rasguños

Las especificaciones de las plumillas son:

– Impresión full-color

– Celulosa vintage

– 0.96 mm

– Impresa por ambos lados

Por último, los pines, sus especificaciones son:

– 45 mm

– Metal pintado con esmalte

– Relieves en 2D

Los 7 demonios encarnaron rostros humanos, necesitan ser contenidos de nuevo.

We started this idea at the beginning of the quarantine, however, with all the problems we encountered, it took us more than 5 months to carry it out, the anxiety and the feeling of overcrowding is included in the list of problems that delayed us. But although it was difficult, now we have it very clear: we are going to use the money mainly in the printing of the designs we produced; as we need 3 different printers for each of the main products. We will also spend it on its respective packaging and presentation, shipping to us and eventually to you.

Empezamos esta idea a  inicios de la cuarentena, sin embargo con todos los problemas que encontramos, tardamos más de 5 meses en llevarla a cabo,  la ansiedad y el sentimiento de hacinamiento está incluido en la lista de problemas que nos retrasaron. Pero aunque fue difícil, ahora lo tenemos muy claro: el dinero lo vamos a utilizar principalmente en la impresión de los diseños producidos; ya que necesitamos 3 imprentas distintas para cada uno de los productos principales. Además lo gastaremos  en su respectivo empaquetamiento y presentación,  el envío a nosotros y eventualmente a ustedes.

  If we reach the goals, we can afford certain luxuries. Cloth patches, approximately 8 cm² to add to any pledge. A new pin-mask design, and to get so much more, up to 3 new designs which by the way, will go free to people who support the project from the “Determined Demonhunter” package. And what excites us the most: Original and unpublished drawings of samurai using the project masks. The sketches are great and we would love to make them come true, it’s up to you hunters.

Si llegamos a ciertas cantidades, podemos darnos ciertos lujos. Parches de tela, de aproximadamente 8 cm². Un nuevo diseño de pin-máscara, y de pasarnos mucho más, hasta 3 diseños nuevos que por cierto, irán gratis a las personas que apoyen el proyecto desde el paquete “Determined Demonhunter” y lo que más nos emociona: Dibujos originales e inéditos de samuráis usando las máscaras del proyecto. Los bocetos van geniales y nos encantaría hacerlos realidad, depende de ustedes cazadores.

Es imprescindible que utilicemos este servicio debido a que de no hacerlo, el precio se elevaría a al menos 40USD por envío. We are a team of 3 artists, an electronics engineer, a biologist and a psychologist. Although we follow different paths to art, it is something that we have always had in common, we are actually an illustrator, a musician and a painter. We call ourselves Chroma Studios and this is our first project.

Chroma Studios was born out of the need to creatively express ourselves in the coolest and most fun way possible. We have great ideas for the future, we would really appreciate if you would follow us after finishing this project, perhaps with more members and surely into something even more amazing than what we are doing today. We could not have Chroma Studios set up as a bank in time to found the project, and that is why we do it through one of us.

We live in the State of Mexico, a few minutes from Mexico City, we study at the IPN and UNAM respectively, we are more than 20 years old but less than 26 and we are willing to do a Q&A with all the backers and any kind of fun stuff to reward the support they give us.

Somos un equipo de 3 artistas, un ingeniero en electrónica, una bióloga y un psicólogo. Aunque seguimos caminos diferentes al arte, es algo que siempre hemos tenido en común, somos en realidad un ilustrador, un músico y una pintora. Nos hacemos llamar Chroma Studios y este es nuestro primer proyecto.

Chroma Studios nació de la necesidad de expresarnos creativamente de la manera más genial y divertida posible. Tenemos grandes ideas para el futuro, agradeceríamos mucho que nos siguieran después de terminar este proyecto, quizás con más miembros y seguramente en algo aún más asombroso que lo que estamos haciendo hoy. No logramos tener a tiempo a Chroma Studios constituida como entidad bancaria para fundear el proyecto, y es por eso que lo hacemos a través de uno de nosotros.

Vivimos en el Estado de México, a unos minutos de la Ciudad de México, estudiamos en el IPN y UNAM respectivamente, tenemos más de 20 años pero menos de 26 y estamos dispuestos a hacer un Q&A con todos los backers y cualquier tipo de cosas divertidas para recompensar el apoyo que nos brinden.
