2020 the year when everything was about to happen, a new album, lots and lots of concerts and a second album. But then Covid hit the world, the shows got cancelled and the plans for a second album got put on hold.  Like most artists and musicians 2020 has meant financial chaos more than anything else. For a while it all felt hopeless and dark but then it hit me, f*ck covid and let’s make the second album happen.  So now we all have a mission to help my second album Time Stands Still see the light of day.

On November 6th I started recording my second album, and this one is a special one. I’ve got an insanely talented group of people with me on this project. Martin Tronsson on bass, Rasmus Söderling on drums, Niklas Ekblom on guitar and Brady Blade is producing it. We’re recording at the fabulous Sonika Studios, run by Tom Goren and Christopher Göthberg. On this record there will also be some very very special guest musicians, such as Al Perkins and Amanda Shires. Yes yes, I know!! How dang cool is that?! To finish this project and get it out in to the world in 2021 – I need your help.

This Kickstarter will have some seriously cool rewards, like a limited edition signet ring. It’s a collaboration between myself and House on Fire jewelry. It’s a female run business, based here in Stockholm as well. There’s also a signed print package, with a signed and numbered print from one of Sweden’s greatest photographers – Johan Bergmark. The bottom line though, is that every little bit of help is SO appreciated, and will help me bounce back from all the repeated slaps in the face this year have given me.

This record is a special one for me personally. Not only because I have some truly amazing people with me, but these songs mean so much to me and have helped me sort sh*t out more than any other songs have so far. I am proud of every single track, to say the least. This record is Mikaela Finne from start to finish. It’s traditional leaning, but also got some real grit to it – just like me.
