STRESS RELIEVER: Touch the Zen Egg. Fidget it. Squeeze it or just hold it in your hands. The palm shaped wooden egg feels cozy and soothes your body and mind with the feeling of warm comfort.

MASSAGE OBJECT: The rounded shape of the Zen Egg allows you to hold it firmly in your hand and apply pressure directly and easily to relieve body tension. The warmth of the solid wood and inherent aroma gives the egg the natural feel that your body responds to.

CONVERSATION STARTER: Create a calmer and understanding work environment by starting an open conversation about stress and anxiety. Zen Egg has a strong “wow” effect that sparks curiosity and creates an opportunity to start the conversation about the things that matters to you.

CONCEPT: Zen Egg was created with an emphasis on tangible sensations. We are tactile creatures; it’s common for us to have something in our hands. I started to realize that every object that we hold is associated with some activity that we automatically start to do. It’s for this reason that I wanted to develop an object that would be associated with taking time out.

MATERIAL: Zen Egg is made out of different types of wood that you can choose to match your character, style, or environment. You will choose the egg material after the campaign in a survey: Oak, Walnut, Beech, Cherry, Maple, Wenge, Zebrano, Mahogany.

LOCALLY PRODUCED: Zen Eggs are hand-crafted, following an age-old tradition of local Slovenian woodcraft. Even though the shape itself looks minimalistic, the process  behind it requires a great deal of expertise and focus on making it. Every Zen Egg is treated with organic oils to increase its durability. They are made with a high  level of precision, tested, and checked to ensure top level quality.

SPECIFICATIONS: Measures, weight, and currently available wood types. We will add another wood types of wood for the Alter Eggo (+) when we overpass 50 orders for this size.

RE-ENGINEERED: Zen Egg was re-engineered, from inside out to impress your with outstanding quality, attentively polished surface, and beautified shape. We improved the weight system insert, and optimized the gluing and assembling process to ensure the exceptional durability of Zen Egg.

THE ZEN EGG “ALTER EGGO” EDITION: You will elongate the calming experience with slower and longer swaying of bigger sized Zen Egg Alter Eggo. Its greater presence will enhance the zen vibe in your environment. Touching and fidgeting the huge wooden egg will satisfy your sensations with warmth and coziness. 

Why did we name it Alter Eggo? The term “alter ego” is used for a second-self created by the individual, usually to live out a better version of the self. And that’s the name of the game of the Zen Egg project.

ZEN TUNES are 5x few minutes long audio guided tapes, that help you to calm your mind and build a new perspective on situations that usually wreck your nerves. 

In a few minutes they will put you in good mood, where you will be able to gain the new habit of thinking. It will support you to change your reaction and act constructively in stressful moments. It is not just a quick calm down tape, it is a tutorial that helps you to change. Zen Tunes doesn’t give you fish, it teaches you how to fish yourself.

WOOD TYPES: You will be able to chose the desired wood type later in a survey (after the Kickstarter campaign ends). For now you only chose the type and quantity of the Zen Eggs.

EARLY DECEMBER SHIPPING: We will be able to produce a very limited batch of new Zen Egg (the smallest one) for shipping before the December Holidays! Available woods: Wenge, Mahogany, Zebrano, Walnut. Holiday gift will be shipped in early December, the rest in march.

Zen Egg Alter Eggo is in the prototyping stage. We designed it and sourced the producers, but the tooling and material costs are simply too much for us to afford on our own. The crowdfunding campaign goal is to cover the costs of tools, optimizing the production on a large production scale and materials costs. After these costs are covered, we’ll be able to run the Zen Egg project more sustainably.
