Equipped with our redesigned honeycomb pattern for the perfect non-stick cooking experience, and a handle that remains cool whatever your heat source. All for a fair price.

Just as strong as traditional cast iron, but 50% lighter thanks to the pressed casting innovation technique. The Buccaneer is produced through pressed casting, allowing more pressure compared to traditional sand casting. 

This ensures thinner walls and 50% less weight than a traditional cast iron skillet without compromising on performance. 

The handle of the Buccaneer was originally created for the Blackbeard frying pan, one of our previous campaigns. Now we’ve perfected it on every single detail with our crowd, but it will still match your collection. It’s made of full cast stainless steel, riveted and optimized for the best grip. Thanks to the well-thought-out thin attachment to the pan, burned hands or tinkering with potholders is history!  

Since the Buccaneer is made from cast iron, it can be used on all heat sources including gas, induction, ceramic and electric. It can even be put in the oven or on the barbeque.

Our honeycomb pattern ensures better substance distribution, which enlarges the cooking area, even with a little oil or butter. This creates the perfect non-stick cooking experience, as well as our famous Crowd Cookware stamp.

Due to its weight, the pan is easy to hold and perfect for everyday use. Whether you’re a meat lover, a fulltime vegetarian or just love all food, you can cook the most delicious dishes in your Buccaneer. Bonus? Super easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

Creating cookware with our crowd is all about translating feedback into new products or actual changes to the final designs. We believe this is the only way to create great cookware together.

In just over 2 years, we brought Crowd Cookware to life together. And now we are ready to press that big “Go” button for production. Are you ready to back?! 

RISKS AND CHALLENGES

Crowd Cookware’s Buccaneer is the fifth campaign we launch on Kickstarter and our 4th campaign on Indiegogo within 2 years. So far, we’ve managed to design, produce and deliver chef-grade cookware to our backers. All according to – and sometimes ahead of – schedule. We learned a lot and we’re taking this into consideration during our next adventure!

The Crowd Cookware Buccaneer is one of the newest requests received from our crowd. Similar to our knife set, the Wigbold and two earlier cookware campaigns, we’ve run a pilot production round with a manufacturer who meets our high-quality standards and produces skillets like ours on a large scale for premium brands. Our crowd tested the Buccaneer and now we have confirmation: the pans are ready for mass production. We’re good to go!

Although we’re doing everything we can to make sure our campaign runs smoothly, there are things that can go wrong that are beyond our control. Setbacks, such as delays at the port due to an overcrowded port, can always occur. However, our motto is: ‘for every problem there is a solution’. We’re ready to hack the industry together with you!
