Let’s talk more human now. We use Sentien Audio prototypes daily.  I am editing this page and listening to music and the reaction videos via Sentien Audio prototype.

We were at the pre-production stage. Now that the Kickstarter campaign has ended, we’re kicking off tooling and working towards mass production. 

We went through it all. From ideas and 3D printed mockups to a working and manufacturable prototype. We thoroughly understand each part of Sentien Audio and each design feature was deliberately chosen to provide the best experience.

Story of Sentien 

Hello there! 

Peter and I co-founded Sentien in June 2019 to make human-computer communication seamless. Two years prior, I had started research into all-day interfaces, brain-computer interfaces,  smart glasses, and other similar technology.

The latter two were not yet technologically feasible, so I focused on testing audio solutions and running custom software with current form factors like bone conduction headphones. None were good enough for a seamless communication device you can wear all day and forget about.

All existing solutions came with KO parameters like inadequate microphones, poor ergonomics, and a limited software experience.

Meanwhile, Peter was working for a security hardware company and we met randomly through a hackerspace. He was experimenting with offline AI assistants as well as doing research into brain-computer interfaces for his master’s thesis.

We hit it off at our first meeting, and from there everything clicked into place. We rented an office together to have a space to brainstorm, organize hackathons, and theorize about information theory and ethics.

Along the way I met Darek, who was working as a designer of unmanned aircraft and studying industrial design at a university. He was extremely resourceful and we could talk for ages about old Mercedes cars he was fixing and selling.

Off and on, we worked on ergonomics, testing, prototyping the basic shapes for the headset, and went over multitudes of iterations to come up with the most ergonomic shape.

From 2019 on, we had a good idea about the shape, electronic parts needed, the main use cases, and the software stack needed to create and share the experience with you.

We’ve spent thousands of hours perfecting Sentien Audio’s design, ergonomics, and software. It’s been quite an experience, peppered with a global health pandemic, but here we are, wearing Sentien Audio every day.

We love the idea of crowdfunding and new technologies coming into this world.
