GOAL:  Raise $50,000 to help us publish and DONATE 500 books to vulnerable children in hospitals, foster care, homeless and domestic violence shelters, military families and more.

Increase Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

PIGGIE BEAR’s Power of Happiness is the second book in the PIGGIE BEAR series.  Piggie Bear is an adorable, friendly character who helps Build Emotional Awareness and Resilience (BEAR) by teaching them to recognize and manage their emotions in a fun and loving way.  Piggie Bear was created by author Mara James, who is the Founder and CEO of the non-profit organization, the Extraordinary Lives Foundation (ELF).

Children’s Mental Health and Wellness 

As a non-profit organization, ELF donates Piggie Bear books and toolkits to children’s hospitals, foster care, homeless and domestic violence shelters, military families and more.  The Extraordinary Lives Foundation aims to improve children’s mental health and wellness and support families.  By spreading Piggie Bear’s insightful lessons of self-care, we can help boost children’s self-esteem and teach them to identify and manage their emotions in a fun and loving way.

PIGGIE BEAR’s Power of Happiness

The first book in Piggie Bear’s social emotional learning series, “The Power of Piggie Bear” teaches children how to use self-calming skills, utilize empowering words, and know that they are amazing just the way they are.

In Piggie Bear’s second book,”PIGGIE BEAR’s Power of Happiness”, Piggie Bear encourages children to welcome ALL emotions so that they can move through them in a positive and safe way.  Piggie Bear teaches children how to feel, work through, and finally, release unhappy emotions so they can feel happy again.
