Today, SwiftPaws is still a woman-owned business based in Brevard County, Florida. We’re made up of a small team of passionate dog-lovers who believe in enrichment, entertainment, health, and wellbeing for pups across the country!

So what makes SwiftPaws Home Plus, well, PLUS? Part of SwiftPaws’ DNA is engaging with our community of passionate pup parents who use SwiftPaws products. We’ve listened to lots of feedback, and are dedicated to improving and offering a better experience. What we’ve found is that some pups need a bit more performance than SwiftPaws Home can offer, but do not need all of the power, and features (and price tag!) that our Pro-Grade Machines offer. This is where Home Plus comes in, a “just-right” fit that perfectly rounds out the SwiftPaws family of products.

One of the most common requests we have received over the years is more battery life. We’ve heard you! SwiftPaws Home Plus offers 30+ minutes of battery life – keeping the fun going longer! This makes it perfect for multiple-pup households and as an entry-level machine for pet-industry professionals like doggy daycares and trainers.
We take safety seriously here at SwiftPaws. Please check with your veterinarian before using SwiftPaws for the first time to make sure your pup is up to this kind of activity. YOU are also a safety feature! Every pet has a different level of fitness, so it’s important to always watch your pet for signs of getting hot or tired. Your pet will LOVE this game, so it’s up to you to decide when it’s time for a break.
The following safety features are standard on SwiftPaws Home Plus:
90 Second Play Session: Your SwiftPaws home will vibrate and the light will turn red after 80 seconds of play to let you know it’s time to take a break. You can re-start the session if you need to by pressing the on-off button until the light turns green after it gives you the warning vibration. If you do not re-start the session it will turn off at 90 seconds allowing you to give your pup a break.
Safety Stall: Your machine will sense if there is a disturbance to the system (ie: your pet steps on the line or grabs the flag) it will automatically cut power when it senses this. If the disturbance does not go away and you continue to try to run the machine, it will initiate a full stall where it will completely stop running and beep repeatedly to let you know there’s an issue.
Anchor Tethers: ALWAYS use the included tethers to anchor the drive and pulleys. The tethers allow for the entire course to flex when a component or the line is bumped or pulled while maintaining the proper tension. Tethers are an important safety feature as well as allowing play to continue quickly when the line or pulleys are disturbed.
Under the Hood: SwiftPaws Home and Home Plus also have a number of safety features built into the electronics that help keep SwiftPaws from malfunctioning. For example, if you accidentally try using a non-compatible battery (too much/little voltage etc) SwiftPaws will not allow the unit to power on. It will also sense any board shortages and turn off to prevent any issues.
Our backers on Indiegogo will receive a lifetime warranty. What does that mean? It means that if you ever have an issue with your SwiftPaws we will do what it takes to get you back up and running. This doesn’t mean that we’ll send you a lifetime supply of things that are meant to be eventually replaced like line or flags, but it does mean that we’ll take care of you if something isn’t working the way it’s supposed to. We will also repair or replace things at-cost that aren’t warranty issues (dog chewed up your remote?) because we care. Seriously, just get in touch with us and we’ll help you out.

SwiftPaws has been producing lure coursing equipment for a decade, and now has a full-time team dedicated to growing the company in a mindful way. We got our start making professional-grade equipment which pioneered safety features to keep events safe and fun. We wanted to create an at-home option more accessible to all pup parents, which is why we launched SwiftPaws Home Original with our successful Kickstarter campaign in 2018. But, because we were, and still are, a small company, we had to temporarily stop producing pro-grade equipment in 2017 in order to focus on the development, launch, and production demand for SwiftPaws Home Original. We were able to start manufacturing Pro-Grade machines again last year and it’s only been onward and upward from there!

SwifPaws started with a little pup named Pretzel. Unfortunately, we lost Pretzel in May of 2021 at the age of 14 1/2, but his memory will live on with SwiftPaws. Many people don’t know, but Pretzel is the inspiration behind SwiftPaws Home. He competed in agility and was an incredibly active pup. He is the reason why Meghan and her family created the first homemade version of SwiftPaws. Ever since we launched SwiftPaws Home in 2018, you can actually find Pretzel’s paw prints on the bottom of each unit! Although he will be forever missed, we’ll never forget the massive impact Pretzel had on all of our lives, and the thousands of pup’s that his legacy continues to influence all over the country!

Meghan Wolfgram founded SwiftPaws with the vision to help pets live better, more fulfilled lives. Passionate about all animals from a young age, Meghan went on to work directly with veterinarians, behaviorists, industry professionals, and trainers before founding SwiftPaws. Inspired by her miniature pinscher, Pretzel, and a growing love for canine sports, the first homemade version of SwiftPaws was built with the help of her family in 2011.
After years of making professional-grade equipment that pioneered the production of safe, fun, and durable products, SwiftPaws commercial equipment became the standard for organizations all over the country. Meghan even worked directly with zoos across the world contributing to big cat enrichment programs. With a passion for animal enrichment, Meghan was determined to find a way to bring the fun to backyards everywhere.
In 2017, the concept for the first version of SwiftPaws Home was born. After a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $70,000, SwiftPaws Home was produced on a smaller scale from 2018 until 2020 when the company was able to take on some investment to increase production & grow the team.
Now, with over 3,000+ units sold nationwide, Meghan and her team are looking to make an even bigger impact with the introduction of SwiftPaws Home Plus on Indiegogo.
With a full-time team, excellent supplier relationships, established manufacturing & distribution practices, and a production-ready prototype, SwiftPaws Home Plus is a relatively low-risk project. We have also planned for extra lead times for components to help mitigate the risk of the current global supply chain delays.
