VANTA = Vertically Aligned Nanotube Arrays

 Vertically Aligned Titania Nanotubes Arrays unique physical and optical properties reflect so little light that it can be described as the closest thing to a black hole. They can absorb up to 99.9% of virtually all incident light. This Superblack watch face is made in cooperation with the University of Pardubice, a cutting-edge nano technology research center, based in Czech Republic.

Astronomers recently saw something they’d never seen before while peering at a black hole some 800 million light-years away: X-ray light emissions coming from directly behind the black hole at the centre of a distant galaxy.

A chronometer is a watch whose movement has been tested for accuracy by an official timing bureau (like COSC). The demands are very high: only a few seconds of variation per day under the most difficult temperature and position conditions normally encountered.
