A lighting tool for content creators.
Achieve the aesthetic at the level of Hollywood.
APOLLO 1 is a new Digital Sputnik lighting instrument inspired by and built based on the feedback from the top Hollywood Cinematographers. Some of the most iconic movies of the last decade were lit by our lighting products.
Lighting up Dune, Alien, Star Wars, Transformers and many more showed us what type of light to create next.
What was once considered impossible, will now become reality. With the recent years of innovation in technology, we can now offer you light with compact design, versatility, and performance which has not existed before. Reserve a light for yourself from the first batch of production of APOLLO 1.
It doesn’t matter if you are a one-person superteam or gigantic Hollywood production.
APOLLO 1 is the missing piece of your arsenal for reaching the high-end look you desire for your videos, films, social media, and photography.
The light will serve both pros and beginners.
The light is simple to set up and operate, smooth to use for beginners and experts alike. The light and the app, that’s all you need to quickly set up the most complicated lighting scenarios you can imagine.
Full-color control – one person can literally paint a scene without moving or touching a light or a gel.
Digital Sputnik uses a novel approach in creating white light by mixing together RGBW at high output. This approach creates a saturated white light which makes for great skin tones and vibrant crisp images with high color contrast. Our solution gives digital cameras more chromatic information – producing images with superior color depth and higher saturation when compared to traditional high CRI white LEDs.
Use these lights in the studio or bring them to the most remote sets as they can be battery-operated. Adjust the lights fast with wireless control, create original lighting effects yourself, or express your artistic imagination with our library of built-in effects.

Whether it’s a few-second clip on your Instagram feed or a full-length video on your website, videos are a great way to convey your message.
Due to high demand, a growing number of photographers are now offering videos to their clients. Whenever you want to match images and video, you should use a continuous light source instead of a flash.
Prepare your lights, guide the model behind your camera, and adjust the lighting with your smartphone while you shoot. You’ll find it’s just as easy as it sounds!
The creation of a full campaign that offers both videos and photos to your clients has never been easier.
A user can easily modify all the settings in the lights at the level of pixel-control, including: on/off, intensity, temperature, hue and saturation – simultaneously or separately.
The new app lets you control the entire range of DS lights with one click.
Advanced special effects. When you have limited time on the set, you can access an impressive built-in gallery of lighting effects only with a single click. The special effect gallery offers creative lighting options like thunderstorm lightning, water, fire and many more.
For pro’s we provide a user-friendly DMX controller with built-in DS Lighting System DMX modes. The app sends Art-Net protocol packets over a WiFi connection.
DS controller app is free to use for everyone. Available for iOS, ANDROID, WINDOWS & OSX.
Forever changing the way you create and use light.
Media mapping to lights has become an important part of new content productions. Create an environment effortless – the new APOLLO 1 makes it simple to visually map media to lights using our app.
Film a video with your phone or a camera. Then open the app, import the video and use the same video to project the light onto the subject.
For example: film candlelight, open the app, and project the same light onto the subject.
The media playback on APOLLO 1 is at 200fps making for a super smooth and natural experience. The Built-in Media server guarantees smooth playback even in environments with wireless interference.
The ways to create your own signature aesthetics also involve shaping the light.

We are a team of passionate go-getters who are devoted to manufacturing the best tools for you to create great images. Our mission is to bring you versatile and efficient lighting equipment that raises the quality and speed of the way you light up your images.
Digital Sputnik was founded by two brothers with a passion for cinema. Our concept was simple – replace legacy HMI (Hydrargyrum medium-arc iodide) technology with color-tunable LEDs and therefore enable the cinematographer to tune the color of the light on set during shooting to get the desired look, instead of color grading the image during the post-production process. This approach gave back direct control over the image to the cinematographer and allowed him to work in a visual environment while seeing an image that is very close to the final during shooting.
Centrally controlling the color and intensity of LED lights on set by a specialist is today commonly adopted by large budget productions. We have seen that the cost and complication of lighting control systems can often hold back the adoption of dynamically color-changeable lights for lower budget productions, content creators and live streamers.
Digital Sputnik was a lighting supplier for a number of high-profile productions such as, “The Ant-Man & the Wasp”, “Ghost in the Shell”, “Star Wars: Rogue One”, “Chicago Justice”, “The Neon Demon” and several others.
Based on our experience we have developed a new product line and user interface. These new products use an advanced AI-assisted user interface for controlling the color and intensity of lights, enabling all content creators to produce at a quality level comparable to the biggest productions.
All our products are proudly made in EU.
