Use the “Lap Timer” feature to measure your laps on the track and improve your skills without having to stop and check your results:

• You can choose from over 1500 predefined race tracks all around the world with splits, start/finish lines, different configurations, and more. Or create your own custom track/configuration with as many as 4 split lines.
• While driving you will be presented with current lap and lap time for it, your live speed, last and best times, and pop-ups for every point that you cross with the difference from your best time in the session.
• All that information is perfectly arranged and balanced and the UI features big, easily readable text and numbers, with the most important bits, like sector times, even popping up in colour and with big numbers. Just glance at it and never again lose focus searching for the information that you need, missing your perfect racing line.
• Use our “Predictive Mode” that uses advanced self-learning algorithm, similar to artificial intelligence, which studies your driving patterns, improving itself with every lap and predicting your time on the fly.

Use the “Drag Meter” feature to measure your car’s acceleration, braking, and speed performance in several ways:

•  Two predefined modes – Distance and Speed for quick access to standard measurements, and extra Custom mode for you to configure. Each tracks up to four metrics, such as 0-60mph, quarter mile, etc.
•  Distance mode – In Distance mode, you will be able to measure the performance of your car on 4 predefined points (such as ¼ mile) in meters or miles, depending on the units you choose to use.
•  Speed mode – In the Speed mode you will be able to measure the acceleration of your car, such as 0-100kph or 0-60mph depending on the units you choose to use.
•  Custom mode – In the most interesting Custom mode we let you define your own set of markers. Unlimited combinations of speed and distance points and units – in one run you can measure 60ft, 0-60mph, 400 meters, and 100-200kph together. No other device currently on the market offers that flexibility.
•  Predictive Mode that uses advanced self-learning algorithm, similar to artificial intelligence, which studies your driving patterns, improving itself with every run and predicting your drag time on the fly.
• Enable or disable 1ft rollout for all modes – it is up to you.

Automotive-inspired design

Several mounting options:

• The device has built-in neodymium magnets, which can be used to mount it outside of your vehicle.
• An integrated universal threaded insert on the bottom of the unit makes it compatible with most GoPro and many other aftermarket mounts.
• We have included in the box velcro 3M tape, and 2 different anti-skid stickers/pads for you to mount the Mini however and wherever you would like.

Since we are 100% backing up the European Commission and their aim to reduce e-waste, we did our part by incorporating a USB-C port in the device. That way you will never need to carry any additional cables to charge your device.

In the R&D process, we improved on the base idea by adding features like water-proofing, lean angle, and more. When we combined everything, it grew to be the most versatile device we have ever seen for measuring the performance of any type of vehicle.

Risks and challenges

1. Manufacturing risks – we have successfully completed pre-production runs, already have working prototype units and have stocked parts for the first large production run of 10000 RaceBox Mini devices. If the campaign goes beyond these quantities there is risk of delaying the extra units by a month or two.
2. Product quality risks – while preparing for manufacturing we have set up strict quality control procedures involving both automatic and manual inspections. There is still a chance we will miss an underperforming device and deliver it to end users but we will be happy to replace such units immediately.

In the end, no matter what happens, we will deliver the products, even if it means incurring a loss for us. The only risk you are taking is that your reward might not reach you on time, but we’ll do our best to avoid that. We will publish frequent updates on fulfilment status and you’ll always be up to date.
