Hello…I am John Berry!

I’m a singer, songwriter and independent artist who has been making music for a very long time! I am so excited about this new recording that was produced by the legendary Hall of Fame Songwriter /Arranger/Producer Steve Dorff. It is the first recording I’ve made since being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2018. I’ve long had a dream to record a hymns project with a string section and working with Steve, 2021 seemed to be the perfect opportunity following successfully beating both cancer and COVID.

I’m excited to tell you that the new music has already been recorded, mixed and mastered and is in physical production now. I’ve included 6 of my favorite hymns: Great Is Thy Faithfulness, I Surrender All, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, It Is Well With My Soul, How Great Thou Art, and Blessed Assurance. as well as 4 new songs that speak to my heart. Steve composed the arrangements and brought in an amazing string section and small band to accompany me. I get chill bumps thinking about standing in the studio listening to the music being recorded! 

The album is entitled “Find My Joy” which is a song written by Steve Dorff and Jack Cassidy. I believe this song will speak to all of us who have faced or are facing difficult journeys, reminding us that God is always with us. He is always there.
