This fundraiser will benefit homeless women and children.
My name is L.A. Roberts, I am the founder of I Inspire Global where ordinary people with extraordinary stories change the world. During my time here in Atlanta I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastation of homelessness and the affects it has. I’ve been blessed to assist families with children with lodging and food over the years. Sometimes leaving them with tears in my eyes because I wanted to do so much more. On January 1, 2022 God placed on my heart to fundraise and have an amazing event to benefit these individuals. I started to brainstorm and make phone calls to assist in this venture. I was then introduced to an organization that captured my heart with their mission. My ask is that each of you join me in the mission to help those in this unfortunate predicament. We have been blessed and so we should also want to be a blessing. Covid-19 is a pandemic that we all are experiencing together but there is another pandemic that no one should have to experience and that is homelessness.
I Inspire Global is raising funds in support of Our House. Our House is an organization in Atlanta GA who has been assisting families experiencing homelessness since March 1988. Our House is on a mission to end the cycle of homelessness for families. They provide shelter for families experiencing homelessness to live. Provide education for children experiencing homelessness to thrive. Their interrelated programs address the root causes of homelessness and ensure every family that leaves Our House has the tools needed to achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a rise in homelessness. The entire world experienced the devastating blow of this unfortunate situation. Some people lost their jobs, others lost their homes and with no options available found themselves living on the street. Homeless shelters became quickly overwhelmed with individuals in need and searching for shelter. While this was happening, Our House once again continued to be a place of refuge for women and children to feel safe and receive the support. They offer family services, housing services, employment training services and early childhood education. Their programs are designed to enrich the lives of children and families experiencing homelessness with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to break the cycles of homelessness and poverty.
Our House is a jewel right in the center of Atlanta that deserves all of our support. They are always there with their arms open wide to receive those in need. We need to come together to help them continue the mission they have beautifully kept since 1988. To support this cause, I have planned an amazing gala where you will be transported back to the 1920’s. You will be able to enjoy live entertainment, great food, drinks and dancing. And helping one more family gain their freedom from the concrete beds, they used to call home. Donations start as low as $5. Please give from your heart as if it was someone in your own family needing assistance. We are all connected and when one of us hurt we all hurt. I’m inviting you to make a difference in Atlanta and help change the lives of those in need.
