Damage free installation

PacMotor installs firmly and securely without the need for bolts or drilling into your kayak. The PacMotor frame is supported by two front ratchet straps, while its triangular shape pulls into place for a snug and damage-free fit.

Heavy duty support strap

PacMotor’s 1” wide bottom support strap is made with the same ultra-strong fibers that are used to tie down equipment on flatbeds, trailers, and trucks. Easy to replace as a part of routine maintenance.

Fully Customizable frame 

PacMotor’s frame is designed to fit 90% of kayaks of all shapes and sizes. Mechanical strength and flexibility at key joints makes PacMotor easy to slip right onto your boat or kayak.

Wireless joystick

PacMotor’s wireless remote control uses Bluetooth technology to navigate your vessel. The range of our Bluetooth remote is about 30 feet, and is built with a safety feature that will not allow the motors to run when a connected remote is not detected.

Compatible with your battery

PacMotor is compatible with all 12V-20V marine batteries or Li-Ion battery packs. You can easily attach it to a battery of your own by using the negative and positive leads cable. 

PacMotor Signature Powerhouse battery box sold separately but not required for operation.

Seamless battery–motor connectivity

Battery box smoothly connects to the motor. An easy-to-read indicator on the motor displays the remaining charge in the battery pack.

Two thrusters

This is the first and only dual-motor system on the market. Single-motor designs force you to turn in a wider radius, making navigation clumsy and imprecise. Typical vessels rely on the use of a keel for steering and stability. Instead, PacMotor uses propellers to adjust your course, simply by altering the speed and direction of the propellers’ rotation. PacMotor lets you turn a full 360° circle when you want to move and keeps you in place when you don’t. Enjoy exceptional maneuvering and remote-control responsiveness on every course.

Easy to switch between motoring and paddling

Go out on the water with zero hassle. With the thrusters lowered into the water, there’s no extra effort required to keep your kayak on course. Just sit back and relax, enjoying the natural beauty all around you. Whenever you’re ready to start paddling, the motors can be lifted out of the water in one easy motion. This feature is also great for passing through shallows or avoiding underwater obstacles.

Stability and wave resistance

 Feel confident on the open waves with PacMotor’s powerful thrusters, responsive joystick, and exceptional dual-motor control.

Safety features 

Motor activity will not initiate without remote control connectivity. Motor activity will cease if the remote battery dies or malfunctions, or if connection to the remote is lost.

Floating remote

 In case the remote falls overboard, PacMotor’s remote control is designed to float at the water’s surface. No sinking, no stressing.

The joystick has a cruise control button so that you don’t have to strain your finger all the time. 

Fishing just got easier 

PacMotor’s joystick clips right onto your fishing pole. When maneuvering is as easy as the push of your thumb, you can cast your line and steer your kayak at the same time. You can buy it as add-on.

Customizable speed and distance

When cruising long distances, PacMotor’s remote control throttle lets you choose how fast you go. Push the pedal to the metal for full throttle, or save battery power and extend your run time with a more relaxed pace.

When we tested PacMotor, here were our approximate run times based on speed:

• High speed: 3.5 hours
• Medium speed: 6 hours
• Low speed: 20 hours

• Be advised that some states require you to register your boat as a vehicle if it has a motor of any kind.
• PacMotor has been designed with safety in mind, but performing any water activity—such as kayaking—assumes the risk of injury. We recommend wearing a personal floatation device (like a life jacket) at all times, and always bring a spare paddle, bilge pump, spray skirt, and float bags when going out on open water. Stay aware of currents, weather, submerged obstacles, and other boats and swimmers. Exercise good judgment and do not go beyond your experience level.

Risk&Challenges

Lockdowns and restrictions due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 global pandemic have posed container shortage issues and increased production costs, but are likely to ease up soon. Our production facilities are located in Fort Myers, FL, where our team is working hard to address these logistical and fulfillment challenges.
