These are made in Japan
These mugs are designed by a Japanese manufacturer which has been found in Japan. Do you know “Sakura” and “Kanagawa”? They are the concepts of these mugs. “Sakura” is cherry blossom in Japanese and is the national flower of Japan.
Kanagawa is one of the adjacent prefectures of Tokyo. “The Great wave of Kanagawa” is a well-known art piece by a famous Japanese painter Katsushika Hokusai.
Hokusai’s artworks look fresh to the eyes of Europeans, such as composition that completely ignores perspective, which was the norm in European paintings. Woodblock prints colors that cannot be produced with oil paints, and people’s free poses. The central painters at the time were greatly inspired by Ukiyo-e.
