Design 

The NORM 1 is made from 316L stainless steel and sapphire glass. We choose the best materials available to make a long-lasting watch that feels and acts as a high-end watch. The watch measures 42 mm and is designed so it fits men as well as women. Only when activated or receiving notifications the completely hidden OLED display will light up giving you the information needed and revealing the tech behind the surface.

The Strap

The custom-designed strap uses a combination of fabric material and rubber. This means that it can easily be used for sporting activities where the rubber will protect against sweat and dust while still remaining its minimalistic and contemporary look.

Where we are at

We have approved our working prototype for production.  All the needed leg work for production is done, and our production partner is ready when we are. With your help, we can get going and start a smartwatch revolution.  

We waited to launch our campaign until we had a fully working prototype and approved production documentation so that we are 100% sure that everything will be working when pressing the big production button.  

Features

The NORM 1 not only gives you notifications from your smartphone but also allowed you to read full messages on the OLED display. It has been fitted with an advanced heart rate, steps, and calorie tracker to monitor your whole body. The Norm-1 will also let you track your sleep for a better understanding of your health and body. Using the app you will be able to get instant access to all your data and set up the OLED screen as you desire.

The App

At Norm Denmark, we know what we do best. We design and develop products to improve people’s lives. This is why we have decided to work with a 3rd party app developer. We have searched the market and found the app we think works the best for NORM I. This means that Norm Denmark is not directly involved in app development. The reason for this is, that we wanted an app that is updated and tested regularly instead of us building it up from the ground. We know that this will be best for our customers and make the NORM I even better. 

Factory

At Norm Denmark, we are committed to getting our products to our customers as fast and safe as possible. That is why we only work with trusted companies around the world. We have been researching the market for manufacturing plants to find the best options possible. Our current supplier is a well-known supplier to other big International watchmakers and has a long and strong track record. We are also working closely together with local agents to supervise and secure that our products meet the highest standard. As we already have a well-tested working prototype manufactured at the same factory, we can easily and fast move into mass production. 

Shipping

International import duties and state taxes are not included in the shipping cost or package cost.  These charges are the backer’s responsibility and will be collected upon payment. Shipping costs are estimated on package details and will be adjusted based on shipping location at the end of the campaign. Please see FAQ for full details on duties, taxes, and shipping charges. With 20-30%  discounts we are not able to carry the Shipping costs as well, unfortunately, but we will do what we can to keep them at a minimum. Due to the global logistics environment, we will not charge shipping during the campaign. After the campaign is finalized we will know better from which warehouses to ship and the prices we can get. We expect about 10$ to 15$  worldwide fee for the base item and 2-4$ pr for each additional watch globally (EU, CA,US, AU, JP, KR, and most SEA)

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME COUNTRIES MAY EXPERIENCE MUCH HIGHER SHIPPING COSTS – E.g. (but not limited to) ME, Indonesia, Cambodia, Countries in SA and Africa, Arctic countries, Russia, Turkey – please contact us if you are in doubt. The shipping fee will be charged after the campaign, and we don’t want you to be too surprised. 

Warranty: 

At NORM Denmark we are always striving to make the best products and get the best quality available. With brand new products sometimes things do not always turn out exactly as your thoughts. But rest assured that we will do our very best to get you a product that lives up to your expectations.

We do have a 1-year manufacturing guarantee on the NORM 1 watchcase (not strap) but we do not offer refunds or returns on items received as Kickstarter rewards.

Risks and challenges

At Norm Denmark we have done everything we can to eliminate all the risks. That is why we have already produced a working prototype that we have been testing for the last 6 months. We have also been testing the material of the straps to get the best result possible. Working in a time of covid things can sometimes be unpredictable. Especially working with factories in other countries and doing the shipping. We have tried to find the best and most reliable partners to minimise these challenges.

Long-lasting design

The NORM 1 is designed to last for a long time. Using the best materials available we want you to wear our watch for many years to come. Even if you decide that the smart functions are not for you, you can turn them off and use the NORM 1 as a classic time piece. The decision is up to you.
