Story

We want to lower the price barrier so that anyone can travel in a healthier, greener, and less costly way. To achieve that, we insist on using the quality branded parts but we ditch the fancy add-on features, and keep all the commuting essences you need.

What comes to mind when you think of commuting? Crowded traffic, inclement weather, skyrocketing fuel cost…

Now with Infinity 3, your daily commute could be replaced by some positive key words. Let’s reclaim your commute as one of the best parts of the day.

3 pedal assist modes x 7 Shimano gear shifters = 21 Gradient modes.

Whether it’s uphill or gravel paths, you can adjust to the most comfortable gear easily. Infinity 3 allows you to overcome all terrains in a breeze.

No slope is too steep.
Infinity 3 is equipped with the high accuracy 46Nm torque sensor, which gives your pedal an more instant and smoother feedback than the speed sensor. Paired with a 250W Mivice motor to assist power output, your journey could be smooth as silk.

The top speed of Rymic Infinity 3 can reach 25km/h for Europe and 32km/h for US, which tells 250w motor is plenty of power for most commuters.
In Europe and Asia, many countries set a 250w power limit on E-bikes, so you don’t need a license or register your E-bike before using Rymic Infinity 3.
As the most used motor on commercially available E-bikes, 250w motors have been tested on a mass market for a long time. They have been proven as super reliable, and will give you years of maintenance-free use. Besides, 250w motors are ultra-quiet, no noises will be made to interupt your pleasant cycling.

Take advantage of Infinity 3’s walk assist mode with a 6km/h walking speed. No more hard push, just hold your e-bike and let it go forward with the power boost.

Infinity 3’s Super Fast Charge allows you to fully charge the battery within 2.5 hours, while other e-bikes usually take 4-5 hours.

You can ride up to 100 km per full charge. If your daily commute is around 10km, it means 5 days of riding*.

*Range fluctuates based on rider’s weight, wind speed, road conditions and other factors.

The battery can support a long range but still be very portable. You can take the removable battery indoors for charging rather than carry the whole e-bike upstairs. You can also swap for a back-up battery to extend your ride.

*The corresponding parts will be installed on the e-bikes when each stretch goals are reached, and no original parts will be supplied. For backers who received their Rymic Infinity 3 before stretch goals reached, we will send you the upgraded parts for your own installation.

Everything began in London 2019, when our founder Jimmy graduated from University College London (UCL) and had to deal with living cost like other young people. Squeezed tight and breathing others’ breath and odor for usually an hour per trip, Jimmy found himself exhausted by the time he arrived at office, not to mention ever rising rate for such ride.

So he quickly turned to public bike plan.  But public bikes are made of steel and single geared, , riding uphill and for over 6 miles was disastrous. What made worse was when the cars kept beeping at the biker when he/she couldn’t start off quickly enough once the traffic lights turned green. Owning a regular bike also didn’t help. Riding uphill was still uncomfortable, and sweaty backs became another major issue. The foul odour gradually became a safety hazard for both himself and his colleagues.

Having looked around at local bike stores and online for an e-bike solution, Jimmy was appalled by the unreasonably expensive price tags. £2000 for an e-bike! How could a young man who barely paid his rent afford such an expensive item, especially just for commute? So in true entrepreneurship (and cost saver) form, Jimmy decided to get his hands dirty and created his very own e-bike, simply by installing an e-bike conversion kit and onto his other 2nd hand bike.

Amid the development journey, Jimmy’s pain points resonated with a very large pool of commuters. That’s when he decided to quit his job and focus on two goals: firstly, to help fellow commuters, like himself, to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility vehicles, in order to improve their standard of living. Secondly, he aims to create a quality e-bike brand that is made specifically for commuters who live on the outskirts of city, by providing them the best commuting experiences, whilst reducing their transportation costs. After about 9 iterations of designs and testing, along with countless trial and errors, occasionally near-knee breaking experiences and bruised hips, Rymic created its very own first e-bike product: Rymic 20-inch foldable E-Bike.

Creating the 20-inch helped gather valuable data and feedback from the commuting community, and then were fed back into Rymic’s second product.

At the same time, Rymic recruited the very best engineers from well-known e-bike manufacturers to help out on this journey, and now we are proud to present you our second child: Rymic Infinity 3.
