… The spark that lit my mission…

… from Yasmine El Baggari

To experience our earth without borders…

is my deepest desire for humanity.

While growing up in Morocco, I had a dream to explore and understand different cultures first-hand. This led me to visit all 50 U.S. states and then to 40+ countries. This dream became a decade-long journey, during which I met ALL of you… from all walks of life: musicians, families, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, refugees, astronauts, business owners, old, young, and so many more. It changed my life forever. Our identities mattered less than our stories and our hearts. You shared who you are and that shaped me and my mission, and brought me to this moment. This journey also gifted me with opportunities to meet and home-stay with 250+ families worldwide.

I was transformed by our amazing human interactions. I experienced the deep connections and authentic curiosity that can be sparked when we share our cultures, ourselves, one-on-one, virtually and face-to face, and in trusted spaces. With the personal connections forged, strangers became family.

This journey crystalized my mission, our mission: to connect people for meaningful interactions, to expand perspectives, open hearts and minds, and to build affinity and peace.

Our mission is no small task. Your support is needed to bring this mission to world via the Voyaj app. which is so close to launch…

I want you to also experience the gifts that I received through meaningful human connections during shared experiences with open hearts. I have no doubt that I became who I am today through my exchanges with each person I met (and have yet to meet!).

To say that it has been magical is an understatement for me. I can’t wait to be part of all the transformational experiences and stories that we will create together.

My mission never sleeps. I work every day to enable more people to experience the gift of cultural exchange, like the young students from 30 African countries we helped bring to the United States, French architects to San Francisco, and more than 60 Americans to Morocco. This campaign is being launched while I am here, in Aotearoa New Zealand as a member of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship. With mixed feelings of excitement and fear, my greatest wish is for this campaign to succeed. My energy will continue to a successful finish!

Our Voyaj journey the first 7 years

For the last seven years Voyaj has evolved around global changes. We began with authentic conversations. We cultivated international person-to-person hosting and visits, group travel, and inter-cultural exchanges.

We curated experiences for us to listen to and hear each other in mindfulness. We shared aha moments we discovered in these experiences that now inform our life stories. Check out some of the Voyaj stories at https://www.voyaj.com/stories.

Then at the onset of the pandemic we expanded online access to meaningful Voyaj connections. And all the while we worked diligently on the Voyaj mobile app to bring inspiring experiences to connect deeply and to build a better world to everyone, everywhere.

This moment is exciting and tenuous. Our Voyaj mobile app is closer than ever to launch– first to you, our Voyaj Founding Members, then to the public. We are almost there! (We are currently reviewing version 2:31 and preparing for version 3.0).

After seven quiet years of building on a shoestring budget, not compromising our mission, and with a lesson I recently learned– that it is okay to ask and to receive support from others, I now reach out to you, my global community, for financial support to bring the Voyaj mobile app to the finish line. We are so close!

The Voyaj community is a global family of like-hearted people from different cultures from every corner of the planet.

Our identities are many. Our cultures span the globe, our daily lives and environments differ.
We are professionals, we are artists and entrepreneurs, students and teachers, visionaries and dreamers. We have wealth, and we work diligently to provide. We seek and we share…

OUR VALUES ALIGN with the Voyaj mission: to connect people for meaningful interactions, to expand perspectives, open hearts and minds, and to build affinity and peace.

YOU – WE the VOYAJ FOUNDING MEMBERS will have access to meeting each other through shared experiences. We will expand our perspectives with each other, knowing our differences recede as our shared values elevate us. Safe, environments created by Yasmine and the Voyaj team will guide us to inspiration.

Besides the upcoming Voyaj app, we gather each month and create environments where people experience community trust and bonding. People from diverse, global communities are invited in mixed groups to share perspectives, unique stories, journeys, and cultural nuances.

How your support will impact the world

Imagine that millions of people are engaged in cultural exchange programs, everywhere! The Voyaj distinction in cultural exchange experiences aims beyond the norm. We gather like-hearted people and offer environments and communities where we can connect more deeply. We aim to create a ripple effect of expanding inter-cultural relationships and communities that will impact our world positively, in perpetuity.

We have three immediate goals

Build a powerful Voyaj community through monthly 2-hour virtual experiences starting February 2023.
Finish app development (version 3.0) by February 2023.
Onboard our world-class team full time to bring the Voyaj Experience to the world.
After the app launch, we intend to raise an additional $200k in funding to expand growth (grants, investments, etc.) for operations, maintenance, marketing and global adoption. Please reach out directly at yasmine@voyaj.com if you’re interested.

*** The Voyaj mobile app and platform require continual research, development, operations, customer service, international diplomacy and adherences, and design and media actions.

The funding will also support actions that advance Voyaj goals like these:

Onboard ambassadors from specific countries to assure global representation and diversity. (195)
Identify up to 1,000 Voyaj ambassadors who will cultivate relationships and cultural exchanges with potential to empower others, with Voyaj support and resources.
Connect and expand existing Voyaj/Yasmine global relationships and partnerships such as: private and government cultural programs, non-profits for good, universities, corporations, organizations, etc.
