Multiply the lifetime of your tennis and padel balls by 3 thanks to the Bounce tube.
The Bounce tube is a revolution for tennis and padel players. It allows to recreate a pressurized environment at the end of each game thanks to its integrated pump and smart cover. Tennis & padel balls will no longer lose pressure between games. You’ll play with better balls, much longer.
Did you know that players change balls mainly because they don’t play with them? Did you know that balls lose pressure while they are sitting idle in your bag? That’s because they are made out of porous rubber. By keeping them in a pressurized environment between games (and not back in the original can), they will not lose pressure anymore and you’ll be able to play 3 times longer with them.
The Bounce tube can hold 3 or 4 balls and can therefore perfectly fit for padel or tennis. The tube, thanks to its smart pressure sensor, will notify you once the optimal pressure is reached. The difference between the tennis and the padel version lies in the details. Indeed, design wise they are the same but technically speaking they aren’t. If you go for the padel version, you will be notified when pumping a bit sooner as the pressure within a padel ball is slightly lower than a tennis ball. Concretely, you’ll have to pump less times with the padel version than the tennis one.
The tube is the only product you need to buy, there is no recharge needed and no pump to buy since we have seamlessly integrated a manual pump within the tube. We have also thought greatly about the cover in order to have the most hermetic and user-friendly tube. You will not have to worry about finding your tube with no pressure inside after a week (or more) in your bag. Releasing the pressure at the start of your game will be done by simply pressing the button on the cover.
Grab the pump at the bottom of the tube and start pumping a few times at the end of your game. In less than 10 seconds, your balls are be back in a pressurized environment.
The team has worked day and night to deliver a tube that every tennis and padel player should have in its bag. We have iterated numerous times to get the best player experience. This is a tube that will accompany you for the years to come.
No more wondering which tube still has good balls in. The Bounce tube in the only tube you need in your bag. It will keep your balls under the right pressure, between games.
Let’s make together tennis & padel more sustainable, one ball at a time.
PS: as a side benefit, you can also expect to spend less money on balls
After conducting an extensive survey with tennis and padel players, it became very obvious that most players change balls due to the lack of pressure and not the felt around the ball. This is the reason why we have decided to design the Bounce tube, for the players.
The pressure inside a can of new balls is equal to 28PSI (a bit less for padel) but once open, the pressure inside the tube is equal to the atmospheric pressure of 14PSI.
This is the start of the problem. Balls lose pressure because they are made of porous rubber which means that they are not hermetic. As soon, as you take them out of a new can of balls (and you hear that psst), they start losing pressure because the pressure inside the ball is higher than the atmospheric pressure (we’re taking you back to your physics classes, you’re welcome).
This schema is for illustration purpose and to explain the principle behind the tube. Don’t expect your balls to never wear off (unfortunately).
It is very important for us to be transparent with you. You shouldn’t expect the tube to prevent the felt loss. This is unfortunately due to variables that we can’t influence today but we promise to work on it. Same thing goes with balls that are already completely flat, unless you put them for a very large period in the Bounce tube, they will not reinflates themselves.
We are 3 passionate tennis and padel players who have been playing these sports for the better part of our lives. We were therefore the first ones concerned by the issue of balls that need to be changed too often. We then got aware of the impact of the ball over-consumption on the environment and wanted to make a change, a positive one, that’s how Bounce was born.
All of this wouldn’t have been possible without our great team that has moved heaven and earth to make the Bounce tube happen.
The Bounce tube is the product of many iterations with a team of engineers and designers. We have first tested every ball pressurizer that exist with as goal to create the best one. We have put high priority on the efficiency of the tube and its user-friendliness (on top of the design). After more than 2 years of R&D, we are now convinced that we have developed a tube that is ready to be in the bags of every tennis and padel player out there.
Shipping cost details per country are available in the backing section when you select the reward. Once we’re ready to ship, we’ll send out a survey to all of our backers to get their address details.
Risks & Challenges
Our team has years of experience successfully launching hardware products. We understand the risks and challenges that come with bringing a new product to market and know that sometimes things don’t quite go according to plan. We will be fully transparent about any issues that come up and will do our best to address and solve them as quickly as possible. More than anything, we want you, our backers, to be happy and proud to support Bounce!
Supply Chain Risks: manufacturing can be unpredictable. Everything from delayed parts, factories receiving incorrect components, new/unexpected tariffs, and factory equipment breakdowns can slow production. Any one of these things has the potential to cause a delay. Luckily, we’ve partnered with some of the best production facilities in the world and have world-class project management partners who are ready to address any and all issues as quickly as they arise.
Shipping Risk: the logistics involved with global shipping and warehousing are complex. We’ve outsourced this aspect of the process to industry experts who manage the shipping for some of the largest companies in the world. Even still, delays can happen due to factors out of their control – weather, port congestion, unexpected rerouting, and more. We’ll do our best to communicate any such delays if/when they occur.
Certification: the Bounce tube will be CE certified and we don’t expect any issue in the process We promise to be transparent through any risks, challenges, and issues we face in the course of this launch and keep everyone posted on how and when they will be resolved
And that’s all there is to it.
