lixl is available in three sizes to fit perfectly into your home. All sizes feature the same pitch of LEDs to complement each other optimally. Showcase one lixl as a concentrated feature or combine several to create a big highlight for the room.

The three sizes are differentiated by the number of separately controllable arcs of light: from 18 arcs in the smallest to 36 arcs in the middle and up to 54 arcs in the largest lixl.

In addition to raw materials with a high proportion of recyclables, environmentally friendly production with high working standards for the manufacturer’s employees is particularly important to us. lixl is built using durable, high-quality materials. It is manufactured in such a way that individual parts can be easily replaced if worst comes to worst. That’s why we offer spare parts to keep lixl always shining. And when its time does eventually run out, it makes disassembly and recycling much easier.

Solid construction is the foundation of quality, but for a future-proof product, the built-in hardware and software also play a major role. The mainboard of lixl has integrated interfaces that allow the hardware to be expanded. So modding is no problem if you want to implement your own ideas! This also applies to the software, because lixl is based on well-known projects.

The following data represents the properties of the previous lixl prototypes. We reserve the right to make changes if the need arises in the course of development.

The story began in early 2022 in the former slaughterhouse of Karlsruhe – now the creative hub of the city – where a few people met one evening to create a new high-tech lighting experience on old walls. Everyone was enthusiastic about the result and the concept for lixl was born.

In the last few months we have built several generations of hardware prototypes with a focus on electronics, housing, manufacturing, assembly and product design. Today, we have working prototypes of all 3 sizes that are close to the production design, e.g. the aluminum frame has been produced in a customized mold for lixl that will last for about 5000 meters profile (about 2500 frames). But there are other parts for which we have not been able to afford the necessary steps for series production, such as the injection molding tools for the corners and the certifications that will be required to bring lixlto a global market. That’s why we need you! With your support we can take the last steps and start the production of lixl.

To give you a better insight into the cost structure and the basis of pricing, we’ve provided a representation of it below. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions.

For shipping and fulfillment we will work together with our logistics partner. Payments for shipping are collected well after the end of the campaign, just before the shipping date. Due to the current volatility of shipping costs, this allows us to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date pricing and pass the savings on to you. 

In the survey that follows, you can:

• Pay the shipping costs 
• Choose from different carriers, e.g. the cheapest or the fastest one
• Pay taxes and duties (if due) to avoid delays

Our prices include VAT for all EU countries. For deliveries outside of the EU taxes are not included. We will use the difference for international cargo e.g. to the US. So we expect to have same (low) shipping cost for EU and US.
