An action packed 80’s Martial Arts Movie with your favorite Legends
What is The Last Kumite about?
Dear Martial Arts and Movie Fans,
Currently in post-production is our new feature film, The Last Kumite, which is a new take on the tournament movie inspired by the likes of Bloodsport, Kickboxer and No Retreat No Surrender. Some of us may have been lucky to have seen these classic movies at the cinema back in the day but for an entire generation we discovered them on Home Video and our addiction to the genre was born!
Executive Producer, Sean David Lowe.
The Executive producer, Sean David Lowe, who grew up in Germany had the bright idea to bring these action stars from the past we all loved to face up against new upcoming talent to take part in the ultimate battle to win The Last Kumite. Sean being a YouTuber full time brought on some of his friends and fellow YouTubers such as Jason Brant who covers and reacts to action movies to assist with the behind the scenes material, David Kurzhal aka ‘Viking Samurai’ gets a cameo in the movie as another trained martial artist and Oliver Harper was hired to edit the film. Oliver directed the documentaries ‘In Search of the Last Action Heroes‘ and ‘Here Comes A New Challenger‘.

To help give us that 80s retro feel we have enlisted composer Paul Hertzog (Bloodsport & Kickboxer) out of retirement to compose the score. Anyone who is a fan of 80s action films will know that many came with a synthesiser score to capialise on what was popular at the time and Paul has dusted off all his old equipment to give The Last Kumite the sound it needs.

We have also brought on board, Stan Bush, who worked on Transformers The Movie, Bloodsport and Kickboxer, to provide us with a new song called ‘No Surrender’ which has all the flavour and energy of his old school tunes.

Why we need funds to finish post production?
The movie is already shot and it looks fantastic, director Ross W. Clarkson who worked on movies such as The Order, In Hell, Undisputed III, The Expendables 2 has done a superb job getting the principal photography finished. Now we need the extra funding to complete post-production.

This feature film was original crowdfunded on Kickstarter but due to a number of the backers pulling out at the last minute and the rising costs due to inflation it’s left the production with little funds to complete the final stages of production.
The extra funds will let us complete the sound mixing, colour grading, movie editing and more!
Our goal is set at 70,000 Euro which will help us complete the production.
Some of you maybe aware that we aren’t offering a digital copy of the film nor a DVD/Blu-ray as an option on the tiers for the Indiegogo campaign, this is due to distribution deals that have been agreed upon once the film is completed and only a set amount was allocated for the previous crowdfund but we have created new tiers for those who missed out to get involved with the production earlier this year. So now is your final chance to be part of The Last Kumite!
Risks & Challenges
With your help we will be able to pull it off. As with any feature film, there are risks and challenges that may arise over the course of the production of this film and unforeseen delays are possible. We will keep backers fully updated regarding the situation and they will know well in advance if there is likely to be a delay. Our goal is to have it ready by April, 2024.
