HI! Ron Randall here. I’ve made a ton of comics for DC, Dark Horse, Marvel, etc over the years– everything from Supergirl, Star Wars, and Space Ghost to Swamp Thing, Venom, and Predator. But creating TREKKER is my chance to make my dream project come true. And I’ve been pouring everything I love most about comics, storytelling, and great sci-fi action-adventure into every page of Trekker that I’ve made since I first launched the book with my then-publishing partner Dark Horse Comics waaay back in the ’80s! These days, I’ve taking the publishing reins into my own hands and funded six trade paperback GNs and two huge hardcover collections via Kickstarter.

TREKKER: THE COMPLETE JOURNEY VOLUME II opens where Mercy’s stories all began: as a lone-wolf bounty hunter on the crime-choked streets of her fictional home city, New Gelaph. This sets the stage for all that follows, as Mercy begins her journey off planet and out into the stars, where her true, epic destiny awaits. Along the way, she encounters shoot-outs on raw frontier worlds, deception and betrayal at the hands of the ruthless galactic Council, a savage duel with a genetically-engineered monster soldier, and deadly intrigue and treachery at the heart of the secret base of galactic resistance. She also finds allies in the most surprising places, and a love deeper and truer than any she could have imagined.

Risks & Challenges

Well, with a book that is already done and at the printer, most of the challenges and risks are behind us, barring import and shipping delays.  And, with eight previous campaigns all successfully fulfilled either right on schedule or with minimal, COVID and supply-chain-related delays, I feel that I have a pretty good handle on how to get this done, and that I have the support system in place to help me deal quickly and efficiently with any complications that might arise.
