When we launched the first SANDSARA campaign, we aimed to share the beauty of kinetic sand art with everyone. Now, thanks to the support of our first backers and after delivering over 5,000 units, we’re ready to take a step forward to bring SANDSARA to every home.

We have re-engineered every detail of SANDSARA to ensure unmatched reliability on a large scale. Our new mechanism, compact and lightweight, is perfectly tuned for seamless performance, bringing you unparalleled levels of silence and precision.

Beyond its captivating perpetual motion, SANDSARA now becomes a canvas to explore your creativity. Currently, we have a simple method to add customized patterns, but we knew we could do it better. 

With the new Creators Tool, we are introducing an easier way to craft customized patterns. Within the redesigned SANDSARA App, you can incorporate text messages, predefined shapes, and intricate geometric paths, bringing your own creations to life. And, of course, it will be available for all the SANDSARA’s versions.

Embrace wireless

No more cable clutter. The highly anticipated cordless version of SANDSARA is now a reality. Thanks to our smaller mechanism, we can introduce this long-awaited feature and fulfill one of the most frequent requests from our backers. Add the Wireless Upgrade that includes a battery for up to 6 hours of continuous use, and enhance the magic of your kinetic sculpture.  

A stunning glow to light up your ambient

The Aura Effect transforms every SANDSARA into a stunning light sculpture. By adding 20% more RGB LEDs beneath the sandbed, the patterns are illuminated with better contrast between light and shadows. You can customize the colors, brightness, and cycling animation for the light using the SANDSARA App.

Ultra-clear protection

The Glass Cover adds protection to the sandbed, now included with every SANDSARA. The cover is made of low-iron tempered glass, which makes it almost invisible while keeping dust and impurities away from the sand. It comes with three tiny silicon dots to keep the glass secure in its place.

Sand-to-edge design

The state-of-the-art SCARA mechanism can move the metal sphere until the very edge of the sandbed. We designed a sleek wooden frame that merges smoothly with the sand while maximizing the drawing area.

Uniqueness from natural materials

We keep natural wood surfaces to bestow the unique character of each piece. The natural wood grain makes every piece one of a kind. Additionally, we are introducing a new protective coat to ensure SANDSARA’s longevity, even in tropical climates, while requiring minimal maintenance.

Introducing the Obsidian & the Alabaster editions alongside our classic Dark Walnut finish; now, you can choose the best complement for your space. 

The Alabaster Edition

Nordic minimalism for any space. Light-tone maple wood blends seamlessly with white sand, creating a neutral aesthetic that complements and brings tranquility to your environment.

The Obsidian Edition

Its sophisticated design is the perfect match for contemporary environments. Crafted with natural oak wood surfaces tinted in a deep black color, it enhances the alluring shade of SANDSARA.

Besides the kinetic sculpture, every reward includes one bag of white sand, three metal balls, one glass cover, RGB LED lights, and one power adapter 120v/220v.

Thanks to our over-the-edge design, we have a 12″ drawing area into a 13″ diameter and 3,3″ height body.

As our wood supplier who invested significant time and expertise in perfecting the composition of the most reliable wood ring, our sand supplier diligently providing all the necessary documentation for smooth customs procedures. And let’s not forget our PCB manufacturer, who equipped us with top-notch materials for a robust electronic design and seamless certification. Even our screw supplier, the most minor component in SANDSARA, paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the right Pantone tones and material specifications.

With this extraordinary manufacturing team, we left no stone unturned to surpass your expectations. Our ultimate aim is to exceed your wildest dreams. We are committed to fulfilling orders before schedule while upholding the high standards set by the first SANDSARA. We recognize that certain factors may lie beyond our control, and we have proactively taken measures to minimize risks since the very inception of our design.

Our status

Over the past year, we collected feedback from our valued backers upon receiving their units. From climate-related challenges to shipping procedures to app feature requests, we have compiled a list of all the suggestions. In parallel, our team has been working tirelessly to design and test optimal solutions for each issue.

As SANDSARA progressed toward the delivery stage, our development team focused entirely on refining the mechanism. We aim to minimize assembly-related risks while enhancing efficiency and incorporating additional features without compromising the sleek design that sets SANDSARA apart.

Thanks to our previous collaboration with trusted suppliers, we have shared the design files and worked on their design input. This means we are poised to move swiftly to the tooling stage once the campaign concludes. Rest assured, our prototypes undergo rigorous testing, enabling us to identify and address potential bugs or concerns before moving forward with the assembly process.

Shipping

We understand the significance of timely and hassle-free delivery, and that’s why we’ve partnered with reliable logistics experts who have helped us navigate the intricacies of shipping to different regions, addressing unique customs processes and geographical challenges.

In line with our commitment to transparency and fairness, we will charge the shipping costs when we are close to the delivery stage. This way, we can charge the exact amount based on the total volumes per region, providing you with the most accurate and cost-effective shipping option. While we will work to find the best shipping solution for each backer, here is an estimated price range in the table below to give you a general idea of the shipping costs.
