Yocate Farm is seeking $50,000 in crowdfunding to expand our organic farming operations. As we enter our fifth year in business, we have experienced significant growth and increased demand for our organic produce. The funds raised will primarily be used to drill a water well, enabling us to enhance our irrigation capabilities and support other farmers in our region, fostering sustainable agriculture practices.

The Challenge:

As our farm continues to flourish, we face the challenge of keeping up with the increasing demand for our organic products to our community. To overcome this hurdle and continue promoting sustainable practices, we are embarking on a crucial expansion project.

Project Overview:

Yocates Farm aims to raise $70,000 USD through crowdfunding to drill a 230 meter water well. This water well will serve as a sustainable water source for our farm, ensuring year-round cultivation and allowing us to expand our irrigating capabilities. The benefits of this project go beyond our farm as we plan to share this valuable resource with neighboring rural and poverty-stricken farmers in Nicaragua.

Project Components:

Drilling a Water Well: The primary goal is to drill a deep, sustainable water well on our farm to ensure a consistent water supply for our crops.

Expanding Irrigation Range: The additional water supply will enable us to enhance our irrigation systems, extending the reach of our farm and increasing our production capacity.

Community Outreach: We aim to provide water access to neighboring farms, empowering them to grow crops year-round instead of the current limitation of six months.
