This film tells the inspiring story of the Acynthia Villery first black female rodeo announcer. Through her 18 year journey with The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, we’ll explore the challenges she faced in a male-dominated sport and the remarkable moment she became a rodeo announcer. - We are John Henry (“j19”) and Shareef Wright, two exceptional artists pushing boundaries in cinematography, directing, and storytelling. - John Henry, also known as “j19,” is a multifaceted talent excelling as an actor, writer, and now director. Mentored by Oscar-winning coach Susan Batson, John Henry has collaborated with industry greats in television and film.
- Shareef Wright is a cinematographer whose visual storytelling of facts has captured hearts across the United States and globally. With a background in journalism, Shareef’s work is rooted in authenticity and honesty, bringing a unique perspective to every project.
