The Plot
“Summer in Saint Anger” is a comedy/horror/erotic thriller hybrid set in the same universe as “Envy/Desire,” though not a conventional sequel. It follows Bella and Natasha as they navigate the neoliberal, post-woke world of dating as would-be socialites in a cosmopolitan city. They frequent queer club nights, communist art galleries, and, of course, cunty doll brunches.
Bella, having broken up with her crossdressing ex-bf Ethan, is now in a relationship with Toby, an archetypal leftist “soy boy” whose income comes from Twitch streaming and a small allowance from his parents. Natasha, on the other hand, is a successful model and recording artist, residing in a Manhattan penthouse with her 6ft 3 ripped and chiseled finance bro boyfriend, Josh.
As Bella becomes increasingly disenchanted with her own life and envious of her best friend, her mental health deteriorates as she is simultaneously stalked physically and harassed with airdrops by mysterious masked men. Both couples decide to take a trip upstate to Josh’s newly acquired townhouse to escape the suffocation of the city, but in their isolation, reality itself begins to collapse as violence and infideltly become inevitable.
What We Need & What You Get
Break it down for folks in more detail:
30% for Actors, Cast, and Crew: Ensuring that we have a talented cast and can pay everyone fairly.
30% for Travel and Locations: Some of our Crew will be travelling from London to New York and half of the movie is set upstate.
10% for Practical Effects.
15% for Post-Production: Investing in editing, sound design, and visual effects.

The Impact
“Envy/Desire” the precursor to “Summer in Saint Anger” was self-funded and made on a a minimal budget. This was very limited – with the feature film we wanted to up the production value and add new locations, dramatic set pieces, and characters. To create a more cinematic experience. Much like its Envy/Desire the film tackles taboo themes with irreverence and engages with the culture war in a provocative. owing to this the film is a difficult sell to the media establishment which only promotes empty one-dimensional inoffensive art (especially from queer artists”).
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can’t donate sharing this fundraiser with your friends and online would be a great help.
- Ask folks to get the word out and make some noise about your campaign.
- Remind them to use the Indiegogo share tools!
- Have a production company, a bunch of kit, a fancy house we can shoot at, or see yourself as a bigger deal than an alpha exec producer? We call you guys and gals sigmas. We like sigmas. If you can help us out in more ways than we mention on here (not like that…unless) then give us a shout and we’ll see what you can do for us.
And that’s all there is to it.
