Topping up marketing and funding for the New York run

Story

Help Keep Winesday Pouring! 

We’ve got a unique Off-Broadway experience that’s getting a lot of audience love and starting to grow stronger on the vine. But we need some help to keep this intoxicating blend of entertainment alive! We need more funding for marketing and production costs to give enough time for the show to ferment to attract more tourists, groups, and other theatres who may want to do the show in the future. Can you help?

What We Need & What You Get

Funding Breakdown:
We are seeking $60,000 to ensure that Winesday: The Wine Tasting Musical continues its successful Off-Broadway run. Here’s how your support will be used:

  • Marketing and Promotion: We need to double our efforts to reach a broader audience and ensure full houses for each show. We’re also planning to do a video capture to help sell the show to other venues around the world. (We’re already getting some interest!)
  • Actor and Crew Salaries: Fair compensation for our wine-tastic cast and crew who bring Winesday to life every performance.
  • Venue costs, Wine and Tasting Supplies: Essential for creating the unique wine-tasting experience that sets Winesday apart.

Risks & Challenges

Theatrical ventures are always risky and it’s a particularly challenging time in New York right now. There’s a lot of competing theatre going on, and the industry is still finding its footing after the pandemic. We do feel there’s a sweet spot for an interactive show like ours if we can last long enough to get the attention. Many shows like Drunk Shakespeare have run for many years and audiences are looking for social shows that bring a little something different. But it’s a heavy lift up front to last long enough in the market and we need all the help we can get!
