We’ve completed our documentary, “I Stand Alone: The Sully Erna Story” and now we need to let people know that it’s out there. That’s where you come in. We’re raising funds for our marketing and promotional expenses.

Since this was a 100% independent project without the support of a studio of any kind, we need your support to help make people aware of our film.

The Film:

The streets of Lawrence Massachusetts were and still are very rough. For a kid growing up in those streets it can be a challenge just to survive. Violence, drugs, guns, gangs, poverty, and anxiety can eat you alive. But through all of that; perseverance, love of family, bonds of friendship, and passion for music can be a lifeline.

This is a story of how time and time again music saved Sully Erna and how that salvation manifested itself into the formation of the seminal, multi-platinum selling rock band Godsmack.

This isn’t your typical “rock doc”. This is a story that explores family, hardship, violence, poverty, friendship, mental health, failure, perseverance, and so much more.  It has real stakes and true meaning. Sully’s vulnerability and openness is important for any and all audiences. The messages and the inspiration that comes with them in this film are for everyone, not just Godsmack fans.

Risks and challenges

We have a completed film and have our marketing plan in place. Our great and dedicated team has already supported us in the successful completion of the film, so we don’t anticipate many risks or challenges. The film has been released on Transactional Video On Demand Platforms already. Your backing will help us find a much broader audience. Your backer digital download will be available very soon after we are funded.

Here’s the big one! For your backing you (or someone you love) will receive an Executive Producer credit in the main titles of our film. It will appear in all subsequent releases, trailers, and posters. We will also include your on our IMDb page. Bragging rights forever! *Some rewards may require travel. We cannot take care of any travel expenses – those expenses will be the responsibility of the backer. Rewards such as t-shirts, DVDs, and posters will be sent out by a professional fulfillment company. For those of you who are attending an event, we will keep you in the loop regarding our tour schedule. Credits given as rewards will be on all subsequent releases. Unfortunately, we can’t pull our film from the TVOD platforms that it is on now without causing significant delay in the resubmission process. However, you will be immediately added to the poster, trailer, DVD, Blu-Ray, and theatrical credits. When we get to our next phase, streaming deal, your name will appear. The names in the credits must be legitimate people, either yourself or someone that you’d like to give it to. If you give the credit away, we must have the consent of whomever that person is.
