Our Story

For the past 16 years, 67 Orange Street has stood as a beacon of Harlem’s vibrant culture and nightlife. Founded by renowned bartender Karl Franz Williams, 67 Orange Street has been at the forefront of Harlem’s cocktail renaissance, offering an intimate and welcoming space for both locals and visitors. Our journey began with a commitment to honoring the legacy of African American culture in NY during the 1800’s as well as the Harlem speakeasies of the Harlem Renaissance. Over the years and through overcoming some significant challenges (the 2008 Great Recession and the COVID-19 Pandemic for example), we’ve continually persevered to become an integral part of the community, known for our innovative drinks and unique vibe.

Our hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. We’ve been honored with a number of notable accolades, including:

Having closed our doors at the storied 113th Street and FDB location on Sunday, July 28th, we are excited to embrace a new era of opportunities. We’re gearing up to open a new Harlem location. To ensure a smooth transition for our dedicated team and continue our legacy, we need your support. Your contributions will provide essential financial support during this time.

What We Need

WE HAVE FOUND A NEW LOCATION IN HARLEM! We will share more details when things are finalized, but as we work on the planning stages to create an incredible new space for our community and patrons, we need your support. We are seeking $75,000 in funds to be used for the following:

Design and build out on the new space – We aim to create a transformative space that not only honors the legacy of 67 Orange but also builds on the incredible foundation we’ve established over the past 16 years. We will be elevating the 67 Orange experience by moving to a larger, more comfortable, but still intimate venue, designed to perfection, where more people can enjoy our unique atmosphere and exceptional service without sacrificing on the vibe. Despite our charm, we faced limitations like a cramped space, aging interior, and operational challenges in the past. Now, we have the opportunity to enhance what you love about 67 Orange, ensuring it’s better than ever before.

Financial support for the team – As anyone who’s experienced 67 Orange Street knows, our incredible staff has been the cornerstone of our success. Their passion and dedication have created the unique vibe that defines us and it is important for us to provide some financial support to them during this transition until we can hire them again. 

Support with moving expenses – We need your support with moving expenses, which include rental vehicles for transporting our equipment and furnishings, storage costs for safely housing our items during the transition, and staffing to assist with the logistics of the move. These resources are essential to ensure a smooth and efficient relocation, allowing us to reopen in our new space without delays.
