OUR LITTLE SHOW THAT COULD…

 After touring to 8 cities across the country, the universal feedback is “more people need to see this show.” Therefore, our next goal is to make this show accessible to as many people as possible through filming a live capture. With your help, we will be working with a musical supervisor, production company and distribution partners to reach a global audience.

In My Own Little Corner: My Moods, My Mom & Me is an autobiographical play with music, singing and dancing that seeks to normalize conversations around mental wellness. Veteran Stage & Screen Actress, Chryssie Whitehead (Broadway’s Chicago, A Chorus Line and West Side Story film) becomes a detective of her own mind to unravel a mental health diagnosis at the age of 38. This Mother-Daughter love story is a riveting, heartfelt true story of family secrets, societal stigma and personal rediscovery that relates to audiences of any age, starting in the teen years.

The impact of the performances of our show In My Own Little Corner on people’s lives and communities has been profound.

We’re launching this Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the production of a live capture to share with a wider audience.  We are seeking $50,000 to pay for production and music licensing  for the following songs we were so fortunate to receive for the theatrical tour:

It takes a village for stories to be made, especially, such a personal story as the lives of Chryssie and her late mom’s.  The IMOLC village you see here is a special one. And, we keep growing because we believe in the power of human connection through the arts.  Any contribution is treasured, rather monetarily or in sharing. One heart and mind at a time, we will continue the mission of normalizing conversations around our mental wellness.
