PHASE 1 – FUNDS NEEDED TO COMPLETE CONTRACT DUE DILIGENCE ON THE PROPERTY AND MOVE TOWARD PURCHASE. We are presently under contract and have purposely set a goal to generate public funding momentum. Please know that all funds above and beyond the goal amount will go towards purchasing the property. We have generated Perks specifically for you, and we hope that you can also assist in passing the campaign along to a friend, associate or organization. Please help my good friend and accomplished actor, Terrence Howard, my campaign team, and I move closer to making this much-needed project a reality. Thank you, James Howard, Executive Director
Little known facts – Terrence and I are not related, but we are both inventors with over 100 patents between us
Help Us Build the Black Inventors Hall of Fame Museum in West Orange, NJ
For far too long, the incredible stories of Black inventors have been overlooked. These individuals have shaped the world with their ambition, resilience, and empathy, but their contributions often go unrecognized. We are on a mission to change that.
You can help us create a lasting legacy.
We are raising funds to acquire 5.5 acres of land with a 38,000 sq. ft. building—a former banquet hall—that will become the Black Inventor Hall of Fame Museum. This museum will honor the achievements of these remarkable individuals and inspire future generations.
But we need your support now to make this vision a reality.
Why is this important?
Over the past four years, we’ve shared the stories of Black inventors through our traveling exhibit, “Three Eras,” and our inaugural induction ceremony in Tulsa, OK. Now, we’re ready to take the next step by building a permanent home for this legacy.
Along with the museum, we plan to build a 68,000 sq. ft. Annex that will house the majority of our collections, a STEM Learning Center, and an Entrepreneurial Incubation Hub. These spaces will help empower underserved youth, providing them with the tools and inspiration to dream big and reach their full potential.
How you can make a difference:
Your donation is tax-deductible and will help us acquire the land and property needed to bring this dream to life. In gratitude, we offer a variety of ways to leave your mark on the museum:
Have your name engraved on a brick paver leading up to the museum entrance
Dedicate a seat in the auditorium
Be featured on our marble Wall of Fame
Or, choose to have an exhibit named after your favorite inventor
This project is urgent.
The time is now to honor the contributions of African American inventors who have helped shape this country. By supporting this project, you will help preserve this vital part of history for generations to come.
Join us today.
Let’s ensure the stories of Black inventors inspire future generations to reach for the stars. Share this campaign with your friends, colleagues, and loved ones, and together, we can build something that will stand the test of time.
