Help Jazz Hands For Autism raise $50,000 to support aspiring musicians on the autism spectrum!
LETTER FROM OUR CEO
Dear friend,
On behalf of everyone at Jazz Hands For Autism, I want to thank you for all your support in making another year possible for our programs. Two weeks ago, our musicians showcased their talents in our semi-annual Fall concert, Reconnected/Reunited. This concert was our last of four virtual concerts held since the pandemic began in May 2020. As we look ahead toward the new year, we are excited to resume in-person classes and concerts and bring the magic of live music back to the community.
Today, I invite you to join us in our work to provide musicians with autism the training and support needed to share their musical talents with the world.
This has been a transformational year for Jazz Hands For Autism, but now more than ever, we rely on generous contributions from supporters like you to keep our programs going.
This #GivingTuesday, Jazz Hands for Autism kicks off its year-end giving campaign with a goal of raising $50,000 to support our mission in 2022-2023. These funds will support:
- Student Equipment Fund ($10,000) – Helps us purchase equipment and instruments for our students who are unable to afford it
- Student Recording Fund ($10,000) – Helps us provide more robust album production for our students
- Hybrid Learning Fund ($10,000) – Helps us purchase better computer and learning equipment for our studio so that students near and far can learn at JHFA
- 2022 Live Concert Series Fund ($10,000) – Helps us produce a high quality show that shows the efforts and talents of our musicians
-
Más Manos de Jazz: Spanish Translation Project ($10,000) – Helps us expand our reach to aspiring musicians on the autism spectrum who are primarily Spanish speaking.
This is a really ambitious goal, our most ambitious thus far. However, COVID-19 taught us that even mountains that seem insurmountable can be scaled when we put our strengths together.
#GivingTuesday is all about one simple idea: one day that encourages the whole world to do good. This one day is an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with their communities.
Can we count on you to show us your support as 2021 comes to a close?
With your help, we will be one step closer to realizing our mission to provide training and support to musicians on the autism spectrum so they can explore their talents and share their artistic voices with the world.
Thank you again for your generous support.
Sincerely,
Ifunanya Nweke
