Ankhiale Outdoors formed in 2020 to facilitate the design and prototyping of an innovative tent design, utilizing space-age technology to add warmth and comfort to those adventurers heading out into the colder seasons. The design was spawned from ideas tested in real-world survival situations. Our dream is that this campaign can help facilitate the first manufacturing run of these new tents, and springboard us into establishing a solid local brand in the Columbia Gorge area. We have been prototyping our flagship product for the last 3 years and we are ready to introduce this unique tent to the masses.

The Zeta 1 Hot Tent

The Zeta 1 Hot Tent is a 2-person winter shelter featuring heat radiating space-age technology, a stove jack for hot tent conversion, an oversized vestibule for cooking, lounging or storing your gear, front and rear entryways, and a convenient pouch and strap system built into the footprint to help pack it up when it’s time to roll. The color-coded outer multi-pole design allows you to set up the large fly first, and then hang up the inner canopy and footprint out of the elements. Whether using a stove or facing a camp fire, the fly and canopy will reflect and trap low radiation heat waves and keep your space toasty when the temperatures drop. Take the heat and lose your cool.

*As an additional option, we are working on a second inner canopy, constructed only of mesh, so that the Zeta 1 can be used in warmer conditions.  

What We Need & What You Get

We have secured a business loan that will help cover some of the cost of manufacturing, shipping, duties, etc, and are looking to offset that with donations and pre-order discounts. We’ve set a goal with this campaign of $75,000 which will go towards loan repayment and launching our company into production with more enhanced gear and apparel.

In addition to pre-ordering the Zeta 1, we are also offering perks for stickers, our first edition Flame On Hoodie, and several other surprise gifts. We are stoked about bringing the Zeta 1 to fruition and your contribution to our campaign allows you to be a part of something special. This is truly a grassroots effort.

Turning a survival inspired idea into an accessible winter season shelter

The “space-age” tech we’re employing is something you’ve no doubt seen before. Space and emergency blankets for campers, backpackers, and marathon runners, sun shades for your vehicle’s windshield, and indoor grow tents all use some version of silver mlyar to reflect light and heat waves. We have incorporated this same tech into our tent material and it really works!

Hunters, back country enthusiasts, guides, rafters, trackers, survivalists, first responders, and even weekend car campers will be able to enjoy outdoor seasons that typically have everyone homebound in front of the fire. Now you can find your inside, outside.

Little fish, big ocean

The outdoor retailer world is massive, and there are very large companies that we will be immediately competing with. As a start-up company, reaching new customers and markets is crucial to our continuity and success. Breaking into this industry is a challenge to say the least, but to offset the risk, we are starting small with an initial run of tents (~200). We are investing our homes, properties, and vehicles to follow this dream, and firmly believe in the Zeta 1 and the comfort and functionality it offers. We hope this campaign will assist us in reaching our goal to build our brand through more innovative gear and apparel.
