The Behind the Nostalgia: Pilot campaign will fund the first episode of a Nostalgia-filled Holiday season. This episode will focus on the most famous reindeer of all. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. There is more to the story than a mineral sniffing prospector, bouncing bumble or even a brave reindeer with a shiny nose.

Enter into the full story of a hurting man, corporate generosity, a record setting song and one of our favorite Holiday specials. Take an in-depth look at the Rankin/Bass special that started their dominant run of holiday specials with Rankin/Bass Historian Rick Goldschmidt. Get more of the heartwarming music, including Burl Ives, Johnny Marks, Gene Autry and Maury Laws.

In times such as these we are all searching for that warmth and comfort nostalgia brings, Behind the Nostalgia gives you just that.

We want to give the music of these nostalgic stories the focus it deserves. Additionally we aim to digitize and preserve historic materials.
