Raising funds for the feature length horror film, Beware the Moon, directed by Byron C. Miller.
Hello friends!
I’m Byron C. Miller, indie filmmaker, horror musician, and content producer!
I’m asking for your support to finance my next feature film, Beware the Moon!
Who am I?
I’ve directed two microbudget feature films (Night -2006, The Anatomy of Monsters -2016) both of which achieved distribution. I also directed several music videos and shorts. In 2019 I was the screenwriter, editor on the short film, (in here) I Am God, which won multiple film festival awards including “best short” and “best editing”. Musically I’ve performed as a vocalist, frontman, lyricist in multiple bands, currently the darkwave band, Dracula Party! I also have a career as a Content Producer for the global agency, Wongdoody. I produce various marketing content for clients including the Seattle International Film Festival!

Why am I asking for help?
So far, my feature films have been made for budgets under $10,000. Critics, colleagues, and friends have often remarked that they would love to see what I could do with a bigger budget. Some have even gone as far to say they would love to support a crowdfunding campaign. Now is the time!
What is the project?
Beware the Moon
Logline: After surviving an attack by a mysterious creature, a self-destructive man struggles to navigate grief, the monster he is becoming, the hunter on his trail, and a new relationship that could be his salvation.
I’m beyond excited to create this neon soaked, erotic, romantic, terrifying, incredibly brutal werewolf movie!
I will direct from a screenplay by me and longtime collaborator, Paul Morgan (The Anatomy of Monsters).
Chris Longo (Dracula Party, Idoless, Uncommitted), is attached to create a synth driven score.
I have already secured all of the key locations.
I have an amazing cinematographer, Ryan Purcell, interested in coming on board. He just did phenomenal work on the SIFF 2023 trailer. As producer of the SIFF 2023 campaign, I had a great time working with him! https://youtu.be/AEPUdOlGU6I
Ryan’s resume includes Cinematography for The Stairs (2021), 7 Witches (2017), as well as camera, electrical for films including White Noise (2005), Get Carter (2000), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992).

One other thing… The werewolf will be done with practical effects. No CGI.
The goal?
To properly make this movie I will need to raise a minimum of $70,000. This will go directly to every billable aspect of the production including the hiring of cast and crew, the purchase of all props, wardrobe, food, insurance, and special effects.
I can call in a lot of favors to get the most out of this modest budget, but I’ll still need this amount to make everything happen.
If I don’t reach my total goal I can still allocate this money for the production and potentially bring on an additional investor or support from an indie distributor.
If I exceed the goal then it will only add to the overall quality of the production.
What’s in it for you?
I want to provide you with realistic, attainable perks with a focus on having your name on the project and a physical item you can proudly display as a reminder of your amazing contribution and my undying thanks!
What are the risks?
Movies are an incredibly risky business. We could raise all the money and things could go wrong, derailing the production and making it impossible to release. That said, I’ve made two feature length movies, each with production budgets under $10,000, and was able to complete both of them and secure distribution. You can watch them both right now on various streaming platforms.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey and support me in making a unique and terrifying film.
Thank you for your time!
