A troubled Detective hunts a serial killer, only to fall into something darker than any case.
BOUND
BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
“Still struggling 3 years after the murder of her sister, Homicide Detective Ana Branagh and her partner hunt down a methodical serial killer. When the murders escalate, a disconnected Ana is forced to work with the uncooperative FBI, only to find out the killer may be targeting her.”
**** The videos above are NOT going to be part of the feature, they are simply an example of the over all gritty, dark nature and story that the feature will have. Everything for the feature film will be filmed anew in 4k, etc. after its funded.****
I am Australia Kincannon, the Director, Producer and award-winning Writer of the feature film “BOUND,” a crime and horror thriller currently in pre-production. This film genre is my “go-to” when it comes to movie night. There is just something about it that draws me in more than any other genre.

Over the years I’ve had many jobs—Costume Designer and Creator (still active), Fire Fighter, Alaskan Fisher, Retail, Car Salesperson, and so on—but working in film has been by far the wildest ride I’ve ever experienced.
I have been working on this feature film since 2019, with several awards already for the screenplay, and now it is time this piece of cinema actually gets made. Though the story is not a “feel good” or inspirational story, it doesn’t make it any less worthy of being created. It tackles loss, grief, rage, depression, substance abuse, isolation, mental illness, morality, and more—issues that mean so much to me and have come to the forefront in recent years.
What do I see for this film, why it should be created, and why should YOU care? I will work my ass off to make this the best film it could possibly be with the ultra-low budget I am asking for. I will have real representation on screen, not glamorized Hollywood standards. In addition, with it being filmed here in the Pacific Northwest, it will offer the opportunity for local talent—including your family and friends, maybe even you—to be on screen and behind the cameras to experience working on something you love without having to uproot to Los Angeles or work for free on projects that never hit their full potential due to lack of funding. We all want the chance at our dream jobs; it shouldn’t always get to be just a lucky few.
What We Need & What You Get
This project is currently in pre-production, but to reach production (actually filming the movie) and achieve the quality it needs to be to make it worth everyone’s while, there needs to be funding.
The goal for this production is at least $100,000. If you’re thinking that is low for a feature film, you’re absolutely right. Most films are in the millions, even Indie films are mostly around $500 thousand to several million dollars. With $100,000 that gives the local people enough interest to be passionate enough to make this the best it can be.
Together with crowdfunding, we are also approaching investors non-stop and working other avenues of funding. There can be no limit when it comes to something this big and important.
The graph below shows approximately how funds will be disbursed throughout the project.
In exchange for donations outside of standard donating and investors, there will be many perks to choose from: film posters, digital copies of the film (once completed), physical DVD copies, and additional BOUND-related merch.
There will also be RARE opportunities for (certified) autographed items by major film celebrities and a chance to grab a SPEAKING ROLE in the movie! I encourage you to follow the BOUND Facebook page for latest updates and reminders.

Awards, limited unforeseen events, and other items have been budgeted into the overall funding.
If we don’t meet the $100,000 goal by the time filming begins in 2022, the feature will be pushed out until funds are reached, or—depending on how short we come up—we would still film the feature on time and make an additional drive for funds once we reach post-production.
Either way, I am confident this film will be completed.
Production is set to start in February 2022 and post-production is slated to be finished by the fall of 2022 to hit the festival circuit and, eventually, distribution.
The Impact
I am not exaggerating when I say I will exhaust every avenue to make sure this film goes as far as it can and be the best it can be! It’s only fair to the people involved and to me.
In donating and helping us reach the goal, you are ensuring paid jobs! If we can show the world that here in little Washington, we can make movies that people want to watch and be a part of, that’s huge! I think people would like to see someone like themselves in the movies, a little more real life; relatable faces, bodies (and I don’t just mean the dead ones), breaking gender roles and racial and sexual stereotypes.
In donating and helping us reach our goal, you are ensuring paid local jobs! By showing the world that here in our little corner of the Pacific Northwest, we can make exciting movies that people want to watch and be a part of, it will continue to help boost the local film industry and put huge smiles on the faces of our local talent. People love to see someone like themselves in movies with a little more real life relatable faces and body types (and I don’t just mean the dead ones) that break gender roles as well as racial and sexual stereotypes. This film will do just that! We will be bringing on talent, both in front of and behind the camera, with proper representation and inclusion.
The proof of concept video you see at the top of the page was filmed in four days on a budget of $2,600. The talent was amazing, and I could not have been happier with their performances. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to return for the feature, and many characters and story plots were not included.
A huge reason funding needs to happen is so that this project is the best quality it can be by hiring talented individuals both on screen and off. The cast and crew are more dedicated and reliable when they are paid, and this also means better equipment at our disposal. I am confident that with the proper funding, this feature will be wonderfully done, and we will be proud to say “this is ours.”

Risks & Challenges
Because there is no way to know what will happen at any time during the production, it is possible that an actor may need to be re-cast, someone on the crew may be unable to complete their behind-the-scenes duties, or a location may suddenly become unavailable. These are all things that can happen on a production. A scene may not go according to plan or work may need to be done in post because of something that wasn’t caught during filming. When things like this happen, we must work quickly to find a solution in that moment. We will have a team of creative minds at our disposal to troubleshoot these issues as they arise.
With your support, this would be a mostly, if not completely, paid gig and would make it easier to hire someone last minute if needed, secure a premium location, and handle other unforeseen circumstances. If we should have any problems, delays, or things beyond our control, we promise to always be open and direct with our contributors. I have high standards for what we are doing, and I am making the best preparations possible.
With the Indiegogo fully funded, it gives us less time to worry about money and more time working to make this movie the best that it can be, giving us options in case something does happen.
Other Ways You Can Help
I understand if you don’t have the money to help out at this time, but you can still make a huge difference by sharing the campaign, EXPLAINING to your family and friends why they should help in this adventure, and pitch in where possible. That costs nothing and means everything. No donation is too little, and every bit helps in the long run. So please, when you share this campaign, write something about it, and maybe pledge a donation in your post to generate interest. Perhaps you have a super cool item such as an celebrity autograph (with certificate of authenticity) you can donate as a perk to help us reach our goal, or volunteer to be on set! There are so many ways you can donate and help us reach our goal.
Your support has been overwhelming to say the least. Thank you so much and see you at the movies, my friends!
