Designed with an award winning product design company in London, the Boxx bag and trackers combines beautiful design with smart tech–and there’s nothing else quite like it.

We’ve been creating boxing workouts since 2017 via our fitness app and London studio. Now we’re taking it to the next level.

The problem is, there’s nothing quite like punching a bag coupled with the electric vibe of a group fitness class. A great instructor, the right music and the energy of the class smashing out those combos together create an experience you just don’t get at home.

We decided to create the solution:

THE BAG

When designing the bag, we conducted thorough usability testing of existing free-standing punchbags — it proved that the current bags are hard to move, often unstable and make your home look like a gym.

With this feedback in mind and inspired by the latest in interior design, we re-imagined the punchbag, available in 4 different colours with the option of 2 different fabrics, either a vegan leather or LUX cotton blend cover – making our punch bag a hit in any room.

THE TRACKERS

Our trackers deliver the experience of having a boxing instructor, wherever and whenever you want. Track the speed, power & direction of every punch plus earn Boxx points. The more effort you put in the more points you will earn. You can see your metrics live in class as you workout or choose to join a class with a live leaderboard allowing you to compete against your fellow Boxx community.

All your metrics will be logged in the app, allowing you to track your progress over time including your Boxx points, punch count, speed, power, calories burned, workouts completed, streaks, programs completed and more!

Offline tracker mode for when you want to do a Boxing workout off the app. Want to stay on track when you are doing a boxing workout in the gym or in a studio class? The tracker offline mode will allow you to see live punch metrics as you train as well as logging your data in the app alongside all your workout stats.

Our Boxx app delivers the best boxing classes plus, strength, running and a recovery section, including yoga and stretching. Discover classes by searching for your favourite instructor, class type, or find a class that suits your mood or matches your goals. Whether you like to set your own goals or follow a plan, there is something for everyone.

As well as individual classes you will also have access to our training programs and themed workout series, if you prefer guidance on reaching your goals!

Track your progress, earn achievements, and reach your fitness goals

Sync your trackers to our app to view your live in-class metrics plus detailed workout stats and your progress over time. The more you Boxx, the more opportunities you have to earn achievement milestones and Boxx points whilst working towards your fittest self.  Over time we will be adding features that will allow you to invite and challenge friends and family or go head to head with your personal best!

As part of this campaign, we are giving all backers free LIFETIME subscription to the new Boxx app which will available at the time of the product being shipped.

Our Fight Mode + Storage Mode explained …

Have you ever tried to move a 100kg+ punch bag around your living room? Trust us, it’s not easy. This is why we wanted to design a punchbag that is both easy to move and store away.

We decided to insert wheels into the base. However, this is not as easy as it seems, which is why we created the Fight Mode/Storage Mode concept.

When in Storage mode the bag has less flex, allowing you to tilt the base and manoeuvre the bag from A to B.

When in Fight mode the bag is much more flexible. This allows the bag to absorb some of the force of your punch and therefore helping to keep the base steady.

1. Simply twist and lift your bag to lock it into fight mode

2. Do the reverse to put it back into storage mode

3. Tip and roll to store it away

Shipping for the Boxx Trackers is included within the perk amount for all backers.

Shipping for any perk that includes the bag for backers outside the UK (ie. our EU, US and Canada backers) will be separately charged after the Indiegogo campaign has ended, when we are ready to ship your perk.

Due to unusually high shipping costs caused by global supply chain issues (due to COVID and other things), we will be charging shipping just prior to fulfilment, in the hopes that costs will decrease. Any decrease, we will pass the saving onto you, and lower our shipping rates.

The table below represents our shipping costs. The amounts in blue are our best estimates as of December 2021:

All backers will be responsible for any unforeseen and additional import duties, taxes and customs fees after the shipment arrives in their country.

We have spent the past year working on a connected boxing product that aims to bridge the gap between the studio class experience and that of an online class.

This is Tye testing our current tracker prototype that tracks punch count, speed and power. Our official Boxx app will do this live in our workout videos. You’ll also have access to historical data including calorie count and goals to help keep you on track. Thanks for watching!

The most common question we get asked when people see our bag is ‘Can it take heavy hits?’. For those who want the science behind it, read on. For those of you who believe actions speak louder than words…take a look at the clip below!

Note: This is a video of our latest prototype, which we will be making refinements to before mass production. The bag above has only be filled with 100kg of weight. It can take approximately another 75kg of weight in the base.

After trying many other bags that moved across the floor considerably on impact, we set out to design something that was better. Meticulously testing and refining to make sure our base stayed in one spot, even after repeated heavy hits!

The following components contribute to the stability of a bag:

– The weight in the base

– The shape of the base

– The recoil of the bag

We spent months experimenting with different variations of the above until finally we found a combination that worked.

Final testing will take place early next year using a larger test group. This will enable us to further improve our design before mass production.  So rest assured, your bag can take a decent punch and when it does it will remain in one spot!
