INTRODUCTION

We are Chubu Nihon Plastics who have been doing our plastic recycling business for 50 years in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. Since our founding, we’ve ever done so many things to contribute the maintenance of global environment. And now we’ve found another way to help our planet. We can’t do this without you.

THE IDEA

Our new factory is under construction right now. Then, we’ve decided to make it an environment-friendly site with a bunch of trees that can absorb carbon dioxide which is a cause of global warming. By this, we’ll have nature that we have been losing in the city. That’ll decrease the amount of CO2 and people in the city passing by the forest will be able to feel nature. However, to be honest, we don’t have enough money for that. That’s why we have resolved to do crowdfunding here. Join us!

BACKGROUND

Our city, Hamamatsu, has been relatively developed in Japan.  In recent years, it’s becoming even more advanced with tall and modern buildings. In my childhood, there were lots of rice fields and other places where I was able to be in nature. I would catch frogs and play with mud there. Those types of opportunities mustn’t be lost for kids. We must protect and regain nature. It is good for people to become convenient to live but not for children and our planet. Therefore, we want to create a new place to make kids and everyone in the city happy. In addition, we hope it will serve as a way of helping the environment.

We’d like to make it even a better place with the help of the language of trees. We expect you to pick one kind of tree with a meaning that matches up with your wish. If you choose one, we’ll plant it around our new factory and take a good care of it to make your wish come true. Also we’ll put your name on it. We hope our new factory will become a spiritual site that can give energy to people.

BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT OF TREES

There is one more thing that we plan to do. It is a fact that there has been lots of deforestations in the world, which lead to the progression of global warming. Therefore,  in order to save living trees, we are thinking of adopting as many trees that someone can no longer take care of as possible. They will be transplanted to our factory ant stay alive. We think that they have to be protected because they are filled with feelings of those who have raised them.

HAMAMATSU CITY

Hamamatsu is famous for motorcycles and musical instruments thanks to YAMAHA and KAWAI, which founded there. Also, there is Hamamatsu Castle. Many of successful lords of this castle promoted to higher positions in Edo era. That’s why it is said that you will succeed by visiting there.

 We are a trading company called Chubu Nihon Plastics relating to plastic recycling business in Shizuoka, Japan. It has been 50 years since our founding. “Happy Eco” is our corporate philosophy, which means we want to keep the earth clean and make everyone happy.

– What we mainly do as a company

Plastic resins we sell

Simply put, we purchase plastic waste from manufacturers,  recycle it into resins and sell them. Therefore, our business itself is an eco-friendly effort. In addition, we’ve done various projects for our planet.

Beach Cleaning for Sea Turtles

We have done this project more than 10 years. It is important for sea turtles to lay eggs in a beautiful beach and for babies to walk into the sea safely.

We created it because we hope children will become adults that can contribute to global environment by understanding the importance of resources.

Development of T-shirts and towels made of biodegradable plastics

Biodegradable plastics are materials that are changed by bacteria into substances that do not harm the environment.

Space Recycling

Recently, there is an increase in space debris because the space development is drastically progressing. We have started to work on this type of problems as well.

 Besides those projects, we have passed down earth-friendly jobs to the current-generation. We’ll continue that in the future too. 

THE WAY OF USING FUNDS

It’ll cost us $300 through $400 to plant a tree. Our ambition is to plant over 100 trees. Plus, we’d like to raise money for its maintenance after planting. Therefore, the whole money will be used for transportation, plantation and maintenance. 

RISKS

There may be delays in plantation and you are not able to choose where your tree will be planted. Plus, there will be individual differences in size and shape of trees. If we become unable to take care of trees for some reason, we will find the next owner so that trees can stay alive with your wish.
In 2021, COVID-19 is still going around, which is the biggest risk. So nobody knows what will happen from now on. But still, we are determined do this until the end whatever will happen.
