 I can just clean my ears. Why do I need this?

A: It’s hard to keep your ears clean all the time, and certainly you don’t want to wash your ears again and again. There is also sweat and dust that could get onto your earphones and that’s why people buy cleaning kits to deal with them.

How do I know that my earbuds is suitable for Earbuds Washer?

A: Throughout our testing on various types and brands of earbuds, we have come up with a standard:

As long as your earbuds is water/sweat and dust resist, it will be fine.

As for IPX rating, it is hard for us to do testing on every single brand of earbuds on the market, but we will say it is somewhere between IPX 3 – IPX 4, in order for your earbuds to be safe to use.

That is why we recommend using alcohol liquid as the cleaning liquid.

Because with the volatility of Isopropyl alcohol, the liquid will Isopropyl and do no harm to the internal component of the earbuds.

Will it damage my wireless earbuds?

A: No. The amount of sprayed cleaning solution onto the sponges will not damage the earbuds, also won’t soak your earphones during cleaning, especially for AirPods. But, please be reminded most earphones are dust and splash proof, cleaning with a small amount of cleaning solution will not have any effect on the earbuds.

What is the cleaning solution I need to use?

A: Isopropyl alcohol is recommended. Also, lens cleaner liquid/spray can be used. It’s widely used to clean lenses and phones.

Can I use Cardlax EBW without the cable? What cable is used?

Cardlax EBW does not have a battery inside, it’s powered by the type-C cable.

Will Cardlax EBW snap my earbuds/earpods?

It will not. It will need a lot of force for sponges to snap your earbuds/earpods. Even if your earbuds/earpods draw into the sponges, the rotation of the EBW will ‘Spit’ out the earbuds/earpods, preventing it from snapping.

Do I need to use the brush on Cardlax EBW before I put my earbuds in?

It is not necessary to use the brush, but it will help to remove the dirt and earwax on your earbuds.

Are there additional sponges in the additional packages?

A: Our Cardlax EBW package will come with 2 sets of sponges and you can also order more in the add-ons.

How long does a set of sponges last?

A: Our sponges have the same quality of makeup sponges which can endure a few hundred times of use.

How many sets of cleaning sponges do I need?

A: Like we said in the previous question, a set of sponge will last you a few hundred times of use, we recommend you get 2-3 sets of cleaning sponge.

How can I buy more cleaning solutions? Are there any alternatives on the market?

A: We do not provide any cleaning solution, but yes you can use other suitable cleaning solutions available on the market. We recommend using isopropyl alcohol.

How long is the warranty?

A: We provide a one-year warranty on Cardlax EBW.

Does the package include a charging cable? How long does it take to be fully charged?

A: Yes a type-C cable is included; Cardlax EBW needs a cable to power on so without being connected, it can’t operate.

Can I cancel the pledge or can I get a refund after the campaign?

A: No, while you can cancel your pledge before the campaign ends, we do not offer refunds once the campaign ends as we need the fund to produce our units. We appreciate your understanding of our policy and your support.

When do you collect my address?

A: After the campaign ends, we will send out surveys to collect the address of our backers, and you can also change your reward tier or select your add-ons. Please wait for our update for the details.
