How it all began…

“We grew tired of investing in expensive portable coffee makers and never experiencing the same quality espresso we could only get from a coffee shop. Therefore, we would still go to expensive coffee shops every day! Second to that, we were guilty of using disposable cups, purely due to convenience (hands up!). We knew we could engineer something better, something that fulfilled our desire for great coffee and helped the environment at the same time. We cannot express the level of passion and tenacity that has been invested into this project. It is factually the smallest espresso machine on the market (only 100mm high). But most importantly it ACTUALLY produces coffee shop quality coffee. This has been no easy task to achieve and we refused to stop until it met our high standards and of those in the coffee industry. 

392 prototypes, one filed patent later and we’ve finally done it!  We are very proud to finally unveil our most exclusive project to the Indiegogo community. With over $1m+ raised so far, we are now seriously excited to make COFFEEJACKâ„¢ a reality!”

 Why Espresso?

 

Espresso is the main brewing method for professional coffee shops/baristas as it can be made into any coffee variety and is richest in flavour. However, it is also the hardest and most expensive process due to the high pressure required for the extraction. COFFEEJACKâ„¢ is able to produce espresso coffee at low cost, high quality and complete portability. You’ll never require another way of making coffee!

16 BILLION disposed coffee cups disposed every year with harmful plastic laminates and lids.

If you drank just one cup of take-out coffee per day, over one year, it would cost over $1100 (based on 2019 data for USA/Canada).Thats enough disposable cups to stack over twice the height of Miss Liberty.

Bear in mind, statistics state only 0.25% of cups are recycled. The rest find their way to landfill and the ocean. Lets do something about it.

We felt strongly about using glass to give COFFEEJACKâ„¢ a unique quality feel. However, we also want it to be very durable for portability purposes. Therefore, we use a shatter-resistant borosilicate glass. It is more expensive than conventional glass but COFFEEJACKâ„¢ is a special product and we want it to be used and treasured for a lifetime!

We believe in COFFEEJACKâ„¢ so much that we went ahead and filed a patent. This technology is completely exclusive to HRIBARCAIN.

We are both Design Engineers who have worked in the manufacturing industry for a number of years. As Designers, we have a strong passion to innovate products where design has become stale and unchanged latterly in their existence. We were getting tired of wasting money on underperforming portable coffee makers. We knew there had to be a way to achieve cafe-quality coffee on the go. Many, many prototypes later and we cracked it!

All design work and machining prototypes have been done by ourselves. We also have a very good relationship with our manufacturers and talk on a daily basis. This is essential to ensure we can easily monitor production and ensure the very best quality.
