“This Road is Dangerous”
WHAT IS DANGEROUS?
Dangerous is an award-winning neo-noir Western set in Southern Appalachia. Dangerous is a modern myth filled with heroes, villains, and important lessons. After all, Dangerous is a modern-interpretation of the Labors of Theseus. Dangerous is a lot of things, but at its core, Dangerous is an intense action adventure that will have you on the edge of your seat, and leave you begging for more!
The story of Dangerous revolves around two characters and the choices they have to make if they’re going to survive the night at the Procter Motel.
Theo Troezen is a motorcycle riding cowboy on a mysterious quest for justice. After receiving a prophecy that he will use all six bullets in his Father’s revolver, Theo is determined to use them on evildoers. After all, an eye for an eye, right?
Lilly Procter is a young woman who acts tough, but is trapped in a terrible situation and forced to commit unspeakable acts by her abuser, her “sweet-as-pie” Aunt Polly.
Polly Procter, the villain of our story, is a southern belle and wicked serial killer. She’s determined to deal her own form of justice, luring men to stay at her motel then seducing, torturing, and murdering them.
Theo will have to decide if his ideals are worth clinging on to, and Lilly will have to choose to escape the situation she’s in, even if it means more danger.
Dangerous takes its inspiration from myth and legend, but also many of your favorite movies and television shows. Check it out!
WHAT WE NEED
Dangerous aims to earn as much acclaim as a film as it has earned as a script. To do this, Dangerous needs to raise a total of $60,000.
As you can see in the graphic below, Dangerous aims to put the majority of its budget into production. From the unsettlingly prim design of the Procter Motel to Theo’s iconic revolver, the budget for Dangerous will appear on screen for viewers to enjoy. Currently, Dangerous plans to shoot in New Mexico, so funds donated in our campaign will go to travel, lodging, and food for our talented cast and crew. Furthermore, it is important to us to pay all of our cast and crew a fair rate. It’s not enough to make our film; we want to do it right.
