At DiFOLD we’re on a mission to spread REUSE by creating foldable reusables that bring emotions, last in time and care for the environment. 

After the success of our Origami Bottle, we’ve devoted a lot of resources and time to develop a more functional, reliable foldable cup. And so, the Origami Cup is born.

We’re excited to return to IndieGoGo with our latest creation and look forward to gaining the community’s support here to bring the Origami Cup to life.

the Origami Cup features a utility-patented foldable construction that withstands the pressure of daily use while maintaining its shape.

The Origami Cup is lightweight at just 80g (2.8 oz) and offers a generous capacity of 550 ml (18 oz), making it perfect for a variety of beverages and activities. 

It features our patented design, which allows it to fold down for easy transport effortlessly. We have integrated a hanging system on the lid, so you can carry it hand-free when folded.

The Origami Cup is equipped with a double-isolation lid that has been rigorously tested to ensure it is completely leakproof, securing your beverage wherever you go.

The Origami Cup is crafted from a premium German material (TPE class). Through rigorous testing, it has demonstrated remarkable durability, withstanding thousands of folds and years of intensive daily use.

It is BPA-free and food-safe. Each color variant of the cup has been certified for food safety, including fatty foods, ensuring no harmful chemicals leach into your beverages.

• Thermal Stability: Handles a wide temperature range, perfect for both hot and cold beverages – from coffee to cocktails and anything in between.
• Chemical Resistance: Does not react with the contents of alcoholic, fizzy, or acidic drinks.

The folding creases are on the outside. Its smooth interior surface allows quick, thorough washing. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean and it is dishwasher-safe.

The Origami Cup is loaded with clever accessories! 

The main Set includes a CUP + LID and you can add optional Add-Ons to your pledge. 

• Sleeve – slide on the protective sleeve for hot beverages or tidy storage.
• Foldable Straw – use the hidden foldable straw in the lid for convenient sipping. The straw tucks neatly inside the lid. Unfold it and use it for a more convenient sipping. Perfect for ice drinks and cocktails.
• Carabiner – Attach a carabiner for easy carry.

The Origami Cup launches in the following four colors – Matcha Green, Jade Blue, Deep Purple and Pine Green.

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees will be charged closer to the product delivery date, around April, to ensure accuracy given the volatile nature of shipping rates. We will charge these fees once we have a clear picture of the final costs, which are influenced by global shipping rates at that time. This approach ensures that we provide the most accurate and fair shipping prices.

At this moment, we can provide these initial estimates and will strive to ensure that rates are close to these figures (*See Table below).

Survey and Shipping Details

After the campaign, we will send a survey to all backers to collect your color preferences and shipping details. We have partnered with a logistics company specialized in large-quantity  shipments for crowdfunding campaigns to offer the best possible rates for fulfilling and shipping your pledges.

Shipping Destinations

We will be shipping to the US, EU, UK, Switzerland (CH), Canada (CA), Australia (AU), Japan (JP), and Singapore (SG).

Additional Destinations

For backers requiring shipment to countries not listed above, we will do our best to arrange their shipping as well. Specific quotations will be provided after the campaign once all pledges and destinations are confirmed.

TEAM & MISSION

Our journey started in 2018 with a single mission: to spread REUSE by creating innovative foldable products that fit perfectly into active lifestyles. In June 2020 we launched here on Kickstarter our first product – the Origami Bottle. After the success of this first product, we’ve devoted a lot of resources and time to develop a more functional, reliable foldable cup. And so, the Origami Cup is now born – launched here on Kickstarter. 

CUP DEVELOPMENT

We’ve put a lot of work into this product, reinvesting sales from the Origami Bottle back into this new product development. 

We started developing the Cup in August 2022, 3D modelling, followed by 3D printing and prototyping, going through different designs and iterations. The investment in pre-production test tooling testing was the necessary next step to test design specifications and different materials and to test functional prototypes. 

Now we have the readiness to move mass production and your support here is crucial as we need to cover the investment of the official production tooling and certification of the product.
