We’re Circular Fashion LA, and we’re on a mission to transform the pollutive, exploitive and wasteful fashion industry into a Regenerative Fashion system that’s actually healthy for the environment.  We’ve been Repairing, ReDyeing, and ReDesigning clothes with love and expertise since 2019, and now we’re ready to take our circularity commitment to the next level!

 

We need your help to acquire a zero-emissions electric vehicle (EV) truck to bring our clothing Repair, ReDye, and ReDesign services to communities all across Los Angeles.  Join us in driving change, one stitch at a time!

We have our sights set on this truck by Evolectric, a fellow Circular Economy start-up and fellow LACI portfolio company, based in Rancho Domingo, CA.

 

Our Vision:

Since launching, we’ve been able to divert over 1 ton of post-consumer clothing and textiles from reaching landfill.  We operate with 75% less carbon emissions than fashion brands who source new materials.  We use 97% less water than what it typically takes to manufacture a new cotton tee.   And now we’re ready to innovate even further.

Our 2022 Impact Stats:

With our circular zero-emissions EV truck, we’ll be able to extend our reach and impact. This mobile unit will allow us to offer on-the-spot clothing Repair, ReDye, and ReDesign services in neighborhoods, schools, and events, making Circular Fashion and sustainability education accessible to more communities.

 

Why We Need Your Support:

The EV truck is not just a vehicle; it’s a symbol of our commitment to environmental stewardship and community empowerment. Your contributions will go directly towards acquiring this essential asset, helping us reduce our carbon footprint even further, expand our circular fashion services, and inspire more people to embrace regenerative fashion choices. 

 

Campaign Goals:

1) Acquire Zero-Emissions EV Truck: Your support will help us acquire a Circular EV truck from local partner Evolectric who shares in our commitment to circularity.  Evolectric refurbishes diesel commercial vehicles into updated Circular EVs right here in Southern CA, ensuring that our operations are aligned with our commitment to elevate local communities.

2) Cover Operational Costs: Funds raised will also go toward the costs of licensing, insuring, operating and maintaining the vehicle within Los Angeles. 

3) Setup Mobile Workshop:  Funds from this campaign will also be used to outfit the truck with electricity, lighting and air circulation, transforming it into a fully functional mobile workshop, as well as covering the outside with a professional graphic wrap.  

We have already raised funds and have acquired essential equipment and technology that will go inside the vehicle.  Watch our pitch to the LA Cleantech Incubator (video at top) which was awarded $20K in Summer 2023 to acquire essential equipment and technology to perform our ReDesign services onsite.  

Community Outreach: We’ll use the truck to organize workshops, demonstrations, and events across Los Angeles, educating communities about sustainable fashion practices.
