Eden Genesis is a 2D platformer and metroidvania set in a cyberpunk world where we take control of Leah, a young Cyborg suffering from a deadly disease caused by her brain implant. Her only chance is an experimental treatment offered by the corporation “Free Your Mind” who will transfer her mind to a virtual plane. With her weapons as a high-level hacker Leah must find her salvation.

Our platformer includes a deep story set in a cyberpunk world dominated by corporations and neon lights, where people with implants suffer a terrible fate. Leah, the main protagonist, is one of them and it’s up to you to help her and heal his dying mind.

With such a cool premise and a script that includes mature themes and several supporting characters, including in-game voice acting is a must. Every single dialogue will feature English voice, an addition that makes the whole game experience much more immersive.

For that purpose, we contacted the most talented dubbing professionals in our country, and we’re so glad to announce that Nikki Garcia will be the voice of Leah.

• Each step opens a new adventure. Leah will be free to explore the universe of Eden where she can discover the secrets that will solve her story. In a non-linear world, you will be able to access platform-style challenges where you will have to combine your parkour moves with the power of your weapons to get the highest score and continue unlocking new challenges.
• Affordable and demanding in equal parts. With a level design created so that all types of players can enjoy the story to the fullest. However, there are challenges that will appeal to more experienced players, although these additional challenges will always be an alternative to the main thread of the game.

In the year 2064, the “Neural Amplifier Link” implant was created, designed to boost human capability beyond the imaginable. The Cyborg becomes a common reality.

The excessive cyberneticization of humanity brings with it a terrible disease. SND (Synthetic Neurodegeneration) condemns those who wear cybernetic implants to death. His life will end in a matter of time, but there is still hope, the megacorporation Free Your Mind has announced a promising experimental treatment.

Take control of Leah, a young cyborg who joins this experimental treatment to find a cure for this terrible disease. Pass the tests to unlock the full potential of your mind and eliminate the infection born from the implants but be careful, not everything will be as it seems.

A prominent member of the GHOST List, Leah Anderson is a top-notch hacker. Infamous among the main corporate boards, and a legend for the rookie hackers that begin their journeys in the net, the protagonist of Eden Genesis is either a dangerous criminal or a hero depending on who you ask.

Leah contracted SND shortly after getting her first implants. Her price for seeing her multiplied mental abilities was an illness that has forced her to undergo the FYM treatment to save her life. During their visit to Eden City, players will be able to discover numerous details about Leah’s life, her past, and her experiences navigating the different digital worlds.

As you explore the districts of Eden City, Leah will bring back some memories from the “good old days” as she calls them. Interacting with certain NPCs, consoles or encounters, your character will provide a few clues about the in-game lore and her exploits as a hacker.

As a game focused on platforming and challenge, Eden Genesis level design is characterised by courses full of jumps, twists, environmental obstacles and enemies. Every district in the city is filled with doors that give access to these trials.

The streets of Eden serve as a link between the districts and contain a multitude of secrets, references and other items that can help Leah take a break from each frantic challenge.

Frenetic pace of play – Eden Genesis offers a vast world full of trials that require anticipation, quick reflexes and nerves of steel. These sections contain environmental hazards and enemies, as well as challenging platforming areas. Players must overcome them in order to cure the protagonist’s illness.

Responsive Controls – The game features an intuitive level design that allows players to enjoy a naturally flowing gameplay experience. In a game where platforming is the core of gameplay, responsive controls are a must, allowing for precise movement and combat.

A balanced platformer – While any user profile will be able to reach the end of the game and complete the main story along with numerous secondary phases, we have also taken care that Eden Genesis offers enough content for demanding players. Many of the secondary events offer a level of difficulty that only the most experienced players will be able to overcome.

Combat arenas full of enemies – Some sections of Leah’s mind include trials a bit different from the levels based on platforming. The combat arenas feature tons of different enemies, including big tough military robots. Use all your attacks and movement options to clean these areas!

Competitive Multiplayer Mode – We like to encourage players to get the best out of themselves. We have already done it with other previous titles, and with Eden Genesis it is not going to be an exception… Our cyberpunk platform will include a cross-platform multiplayer mode!

Mini Hacking Game – Leah will have to access the bowels of her mind through a hacking system where the player’s skill will be put to the test. Move your hands and your mind as fast as possible to discover the most hidden secrets of Eden Genesis.

The protagonist of this story, Leah Anderson, is a young cyborg who joins this experimental treatment to find a cure for the terrible disease that is killing more and more people. She will take control of her life to find a cure for her deadly illness.

Leah has few friends, but Daniel is certainly one of them. Chance has caused him to also suffer from SND and although his hacking skills are not the best, he agrees to enter the FYM corporation in search of a cure. Little by little his role in Eden will make him a key character in the game’s narrative.

The experimental treatment that Leah undergoes is controlled by the omnipresence of CORA, an artificial intelligence with unlimited capacity that will do everything possible to help our young Cyborg eradicate her disease, or not…

The world of Eden Genesis

Any cyberpunk story needs two things: Neon lights and corporations that control everything, and Eden Genesis meets both requirements. The setting stands out for combining futuristic designs integrated with traditional elements, resulting in a world that seems real but distant in time. The entire city presents a coherent production design that invites you to explore it.

These are some of the enemies that patrol the route of each challenge. According to the game’s lore, they represent the SND’s efforts to prevent their elimination. Basically, they act as a hostile force towards Leah’s own consciousness.

The art of drawing

The art of Eden Genesis can be seen in every layout. More than 500 individual drawings made completely by hand frame by frame make it possible for Leah to have a fluid movement throughout the game.

The scenarios of Eden Genesis have been meticulously hand drawn each element and decorated by our artists piece by piece. The goal is to create an environment based on a dystopian world where all social scales are represented, from the suburbs where poverty takes over the minds to the royal neighborhoods where there are no limits to represent the wealth of its inhabitants.

The art of animation

Eden Genesis is much more than a platformer, it is a vibrant story where Leah fights for her life against the clock. It has been created with meticulous traditional hand-drawn work and a story narrated to engage the player.  With careful scripting and making use of traditional animation techniques you will enjoy numerous Anime style cinematics as the adventure unfolds.

The art of music

The soundtrack of “Eden Genesis” is an aural masterpiece, uniting the ancestral with the avant-garde. With its masterful blend of classical rhythms and futuristic sounds, this music not only accompanies, but transforms the gaming experience.

Each note takes the player on an emotional journey, intensifying every moment of the game. It is a sound experience that is not only heard, but felt, trapping the player in the beating heart of the world of Eden.

Eden Genesis pays homage to classic platform video games, fusing iconic elements of combat, movement, level design and story. Our studio draws deep inspiration from cinema, reflecting its influence in the game’s narrative and visual style.

The combination of sci-fi, action-adventure and anime creates a distinctive style, a tribute to our favourite films and genres, and encapsulates a unique experience for players.

Eden Genesis was created with Unity. The algorithms created by Aeternum Game Studios over the years make it possible to get your hands on one of the most precise games in terms of controls. The system will make the player feel that the character moves with his mind rather than his hands. This added to other key parts for improved performance, load times and portability to systems will make for a unique experience of the highest quality.
