The electric gardening revolution = a better future for agriculture and human health.

Story

A documentary film, Electroculture Life, is an independent project created by American filmmaker, Derek Dean Muller and world-leading researcher Yannick Van Doorne (Assistant Producer).

What started with some basic research on electroculture, quickly developed into a passion to make this film. Why? Because information like this shouldn’t be hidden… There is much evidence to show the success of this ancient gardening technique, but the full story has yet to be told. That’s why we’re producing the world’s first documentary about electroculture. Here is the progress we’ve made so far:

First, we built a website to start sharing information with our friends and people like you (www.electroculture.life). Next, we put together an easy to understand “starter guide” Electroculture 101 , that is available in PDF format or premium printed booklet (48 pages). Our simple goal has always been to create meaningful content that helps people better understand this wonderful world, and how to make the best of it.

In addition, we also made an extended version of our campaign video (20min) that is gaining traction on YouTube with 150k views and 7k subscribers so far. All of this largely inspired by researchers like Yannick Van Doorne.

With Yannick’s guidance and your support, we have a 12 month road map to produce this film (set for release in Fall 2024). We will record the results from different regions/climates and present this data (with photo evidence) in the film.  With your help, we can present these results for all the world to see.

We have several funding levels to be a part of Electroculture Life: The Documentary! Take a gander at our contribution levels and help us make the best electroculture video ever made.

We’ve taken our basic understanding of Electroculture and simplified it into a 40 page document. Electroculture 101 is a modern “Starter Guide” for anyone interested in understanding the fundamental principles of electric gardening. It covers the most common methods that are finding success in electroculture gardens, all over the world. It also includes some basic instructions on how to apply these systems in your own garden. Re-worded and re-designed so it’s easy to understand, and even easier to look at. Hopefully it will answer some of your questions. Let’s grow together!

All proceeds will go towards the making of this film. Production costs include equipment rentals, raw materials, film production, post production, soundtrack, gas money, etc. This will be a 6 month journey and we are committed to doing it right. So, the more funds we can raise, the more time we can put into the project, the more results we can record, and the better film we can produce. After all, the world isn’t going to save itself.

In the early summer of 2022, Derek spontaneously moved from downtown Seattle, to the beautiful mountains of Chelan, Washington. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, Chelan is the perfect laboratory for agricultural experimentation. We are actively looking for experiments in other regions, so if you’re interested in sharing your results then please contact us to learn more about how you can help the cause. We have already brought together a motley crew of electroculture advocates from around the world. The more data we can collect, the better the film will be.

About the Director

Derek went to school for graphic design (WWU), but his passion has always been documentary filmmaking. Coming from a successful career in the agency world, Derek’s work has won many awards including his last documentary A Humboldt Story. Based on the true stories of two “back-to-the-landers” who lived through the “War on Drugs” in Humboldt, California. The short-film won multiple honors including a Clio Cannabis award in 2020.

Times are weird, we understand. So if you can’t contribute then it’s all gravy baby. You can still help support the cause by sharing our campaign and helping us get the word out to the people who need it most (pretty much everyone).
