Hi, I’m Kelly, an outdoor lover and founder of ELIRA Apparel. I started ELIRA and created our pants and underwear because I’m on a mission to revolutionize women’s apparel and EMPOWER women to be free to pee when they need to!

What zipper?

Thanks to our patented invisible 2-way zipper technology, women no longer have to drop their pants to go to the bathroom. Bonus! You can’t even see the zipper from the back!

Then our testers wore them, they didn’t even notice the zipper. We had some serious rock climbers wear them and they were concerned the zipper would be a problem. At the end of their climb they were blown away. Their response was the same, Never even noticed… they forgot the zipper was there. The zipper guard is sewn in over the zipper and it’s not going anywhere. Which is why no one feels the zipper!

Both styles of our ELIRA pants have a patented invisible Zipper with a Auto locking, 2-way zipper pull, that allows you to unzip from the top of your waist to the base of your back.

Our dual action zipper allows you to unzip from the back or unzip from the front.

You open to your desired opening as wide as you want. This provides you with an advantage if you need more privacy. You literally don’t see the zipper and there’s a zipper guard sewn over the zipper inside.

Our high tech fabrics repel moisture, are snag resistant and dry quick.  We guarantee our YKK Zippers and will replace them if they should break.  Our founder Kelly has worn the same 2 pairs for 5 years and they’re still good as new.

Two Styles Available

The first style we have available are The Explorer Pants. The Explorer pants are a cargo style pant with 9 deep pockets, available in tobacco khaki and black and sizes XS-4X.

Thee Navigator Pants are our second style of pants. The Navigator Pants are a sleek and minimal style pant with a secure wide phone pocket and back pockets, available in khaki and black and sizes XS-4X.

What’s the difference between the two styles of pants? 

The difference between the Explorer and the Navigator pants are two different styles evolving around the pockets. The Explorer is a cargo style and the Navigator is an angled pocket. The  Explorer pants have nine pockets and the Navigator pants with the angled pocket have five total pockets.

What’s in a name?

Lots. It’s why we thought long and hard when choosing the name for our apparel company. It needed to represent our community.

And that is why we chose ELIRA.

It’s Albanian root stands for Freedom, To Be Set Free. Isn’t that POWERFUL?

This is not an overnight whim as I started this 2012 with a background in product development and took my time bringing this brand and these amazing products to life. As someone who loves the outdoors, I can’t imagine not having them when I do any outdoor activity!

Risks and challenges

While this is our first Indie GoGo project, rest assured that we are very familiar with these pants, as we have been perfecting their design since 2015. Our manufacturing partners are ready and waiting for the order to begin production, as is everyone else. That being said, we understand that there can be challenges with production timelines and shipping delays for any number of reasons. Supply chains can experience bumps from time to time and slow the overall momentum of our project, so we’ve accounted for that in our production timeline. If it looks like more time is needed, we will be very transparent about that and let you know, but our goal is to work to be ahead of our timeline, not behind it. We are committed to delivering high-quality clothing in a very timely manner so that you can begin enjoying the freedom and mobility these pants and underwear will afford you. We are deeply grateful for your support and encouragement on this journey!

Long-lasting design

We choose endurable fabrics, fibers and zippers in our clothing. We use reinforced stitching and weight bearing threads to ensure our clothing lasts. We’ve been working on the design of our pants for 12 years and can testify to their durability and comfort.

Reusability and recyclability

While we don’t believe that you’ll ever want to let go of these pants, and can’t imagine why, our nylon fibers and natural bamboo fibers are recyclable.

Sustainable materials

We use sustainably harvested bamboo.

Environmentally friendly factories

We use American-based manufacturing facilities to lower our carbon imprint, as well as meeting with each of our manufacturing partners to ensure that they follow equitable and fair work practices and adhere to government standards for labor laws.

Sustainable Distribution

We choose environmentally friendly packaging and utilize FedEx for shipping. 100% of FedEx packaging is recyclable and 54% is made from recycled content.
